The Man Who Delivered Indiana to Senator Clinton

Posted on May 7th, 2008 by Al Giordano

Is there anybody left out there that credibly argues that radio host Rush Limbaugh, on the air in twelve Indiana media markets (plus Chicago, Louisville and Cincinnati, piping into Indiana), didn’t stir up 18,000 votes (about 1,500 per media market) - the margin of Pyrrhic victory - for Senator Clinton yesterday?

Rush goes on the air at 12 noon ET (two minutes from now). Time to pull the plugs out of your virgin ears.

Jed does the math, here.

1. I think his IQ is definitely substandard.
and logic fails him...

He is urging his listeners to participate in Operation Chaos (vote for Hillary).

Then he says that the republicans could nominate a horse and beat Obama.

So... the logical question is "why then vote for Hillary? Why not vote for Obama if he is the easier candidate to beat?"

Why am I wasting my time posing these questions...

This guy is one of his target audience...

6. Rush and others..............
may be using reverse psychology; all this bluster may, and probably is, a cover for the fact that Republicans are leaving the GOP in droves. They are not all idiots; they have watched this administration and their cohorts in the congress drive this country into a ditch!
Most Republicans, like most, cannot afford to live in this fantasy world; created by The Bush Crime Family (thx Mike).

8. Yeah, I saw that last night.
It was totally out of nowhere, like something became dislodged in his brain and he needed to blurt it out.

10. That's exactly right! I think he rehearsed it in advance and then couldn't find a logical way to
segue into it, so he just blurted it out. His tone and demeanor changed as he was reciting.
I liked what he said, but it seemed in appropriately placed. And, in the end, it sounded more like he
was addressing his remarks to the woman he was on air with (Ms. Bernard), instead of to the followers
of Rush Limbaugh.

3. I thought they wanted to run against Hillary....
He seems to say Barack is beatable. I think they know however that the coalition behind Obama is going to sweep dems into office like never before. Hillary could still win against Mccain but she won't have the coatails needed. Then of course he media could have a circus for the next four years at which ime the republicans may have regrouped.

11. You are correct............
like Richard Nixon, the Clinton's could not care less about 'coattails'; all that matters is that they occupy the White House!
How did that work out for Bill; not to mention the country? Under Pres. Bill Clinton, the CONTRACT ON AMERICA was passed; the FCC was turned over to Rupert Murdoch, and his ilk, and they rode Bill's ass and finished gagging the news media (TV in particular). What could have been a great presidency; was merely Rapepublican (sic) light.
Obama does not walk on water; however, he could be the best thing to happen to US in many years!

7. He's right about TrOlLGA

TrOlLGA Vasquez is a really nasty piece of work. She is incompetent and is capable of nothing more than Tammany style cronie administration. What's worse is she doesn't have the guts to come out and say it. She leaves appointments tabled for months on end with no action so legitimate candidates will leave or lose interests. She doesn't even bother doing candidate searches. She just interviews one qualified local and two cronies.

She stocked the city government up with unqualified individuals who will run Portage into the ground. Local politics truly are different than national politics. But one thing is always the same. Holding an office is a bond of trust with the citizens. It's in every Democrat's best interest to dump bad Democrats ASAP. In this case, it would have been better for the late Mr. Highlands to take office.

3 years and TrOlLga Vasquez is out of office. If that means a new Democrat great. If it requires a Republican ... so be it.

And to all the Hillary supporting mayors in Lake County (especially East Chicago), I hope their fate is the same. Most are VERY corrupt and we don't need that in our party.

9. The guy's a total jerk
I've had many conversations with Gordon Bloyer via his YouTube video responses.

If you make to much sense, and tell him the truth about the thugs in the GOP, he blocks you from being able to post replies.

He calls people that point out his false statements idiots, fools and accuses them of being on drugs.

I encourage everybody to send him responses to his foolish videos.

12. Well ...

I have an uncle like that. When you present them with facts and point out the contradictions in their own thought processes, they just move on to the next lie. Eventually, they get back to the original point that you refuted and when you point that out to them they get really confused and really defensive. This is where the "common sense" and "ignorant" thing comes in. They base their worldview based on Rush Limbaugh and Faux News.

It's really pitiful that these folks get so suckered and hoodwinked by the right wing. Other than that, they're mostly good folks.

13. How the fuck is this
not a conspiracy???? Maybe it's legal in these states to cross over but an organized, nationwide, disruption of the election process has got to be illegal. Where is the ACLU? Are we going to let this stand? Where is the puke convention going to be? How can we turn this around on them? Hillary makes me VOMIT for allowing this to take place.

Edited on Wed May-07-08 04:11 PM by Heather MC
Hillary one fair and square
11% of Hillary's vote was from Repukes

23% of Obama's Vote was from Independants. So they cancelled out Limp Balls Operation.

16. Never before has so much time been wasted on one stinking delegate
It makes absolutely no difference whether Obama won by 1% or lost by 1%. It is one delegate.

The only thing that matters now is how we will get enough voters in the Obama camp by November to get him elected.

18. No one should give anyone a ballot
that asks for a 'democrat' ballot. It's a sure signal of a ditto head. The proper term is 'democratic' ballot or a 'democratic party' ballot.
