How do you think it makes sense historically?

a) Because all the primaries are months earlier this time?

b) Because the GOP has their nominee who is getting a head start on the GE?

c) Because the opposition has a lot more money and a lot more points of attack (e.g. swiftboaters) in 2008 than in 1992, meaning that the Dems need to get on with it now?

Can anyone tell us reasons why a political candidate would invoke assassination as a reason to continue running in a race which there is no mathematical way of winning possible?

In a nutshell ... her comments today really make a person wonder where she is.

The 'thought dominoes' really start to fall.

So, in a discussion about why Hillary is staying in the race she brings up the month of June, Bill's campaign, and the RFK murder.

Is she ...

- Thinking we can rest at ease that she'll be there to save the day if something befalls the delegate leader?
- Thinking she fears for her party if something happened to the delegate leader and alone bears the responsibility to stay in the race if it happpens?
- Thinking something will happen to the delegate leader, and of course she hopes she will be there to pick up the pieces and be the Democratic Party's nominee?
- Thinking that her hope's to be the Party's nominee rest on the '08 Democratic delegate leader befalling the same fate as the '68 Democratic delegate leader?
- Hoping that the '08 Democratic delegate leader befalls the same fate as the '68 Democratic delegate leader?
- Planing to hire thugs to make sure the fate of the '08 Democratic delegate leader befalls the same fate as the '68 Democratic delegate leader?

Regardless of what her thoughts are, if she has any in her noggin at all right now, she now has people thinking and discussing what we should not be thinking and discussing.

"You know, like my husband, Bobby Kennedy...and me."

That's what she's trying to say. It's an arrogant and ill-conceived position for her to take but there you go.

But millions of Americans initial interpretation cannot be deemed unreasonable... Monday there will be a clear nominee...

everything that Hillary says in this campaign has an agenda behind it . . . and in this case, it's obvious that she's floating the possibility that a minority candidate may be in danger if nominated . . . she can feign innocence all she wants, but there was absolutely no other reason to raise the assassination issue, and her doing so is one of the more despicable political tactics in my memory . . . this alone should disqualify her for any consideration for either the presidential or the vice presidential nomination . . . just a disgusting display of amoral hubris . . .
