1. Wow...that is s distortion of the truth isn't it? It has absolutely
nothing to do with the blunders and horribly planned gutter politics employed by her campaign.

This is really sad to watch because they had the opportunity to take the high road and they chose something completely different.

9. what are you talking about?
Edited on Mon May-26-08 03:12 PM by Evergreen Emerald
Why would "blunders" (and Obama has had his share) make people want her out?

I remember after the very first primary when Edwards came in second he was suggesting that only he and Obama debate--get the woman out of there, she is irrelevant. It started then.

Bill Clinton is right. it is a political strategy.

17. "Blunders" of the most despicable kind
Believe it - I and many others turned from her because of her 'blunders'.

I cannot see how you or any real Democrat (or person) could stomach her party-destroying tactics. But you can and do. I guess it takes all kinds.

It has nothing to do with 'get the woman out of there' btw, please provide a link when you attribute such slander to Edwards.

I'm not going to list ALL of the nasty 'blunders', you can find them repeated and being added to daily on this board. The latest a callous connection to Robert Kennedy being killed in June when asked why she should stay in the race. This after the history of 'uppity n*****s' getting whacked, and multiple death threats against Obama. Giving courage to some deranged idiot that it is getting acceptable. Sure enough FOX news catapults the message to shoot him. Just sickening.

And what is worse is that most of them are not 'blunders' but calculated, and repeated talking points....Bosnia....white voters....assassination....

I am shocked at how many Democrat supporters, if you really are, can be so cold-blooded and dismissive of her gutter politics.

20. Boy, have you got it wrong
This is what you're referring to:

http://youtube.com/watch?v=5CnISxTTxwE&feature=related

That would Senator Clinton and John Edwards plotting to shut out lesser candidates like Kucinich and Gravel from the debates.

31. Well been plenty of distortion going around.
That whole RFK thing for example, why I dont know because it was already looking like it was unlikely that she was going to win so why people went out of their way to see something in her words that did not exist I just dont understand.
Anyway I am just thankful its almost over and if Obama wins which I think is likely I hope he can beat McCain.

27. I hadn't thought of that,
but, of course, you're right. How wonderfully devious your mind is!

I was just thinking how I adored him when he was in office. I sent money, I talked friends into sending money, I spoke up for him every time, and now I just want him - and her - to go away.

7. She's not being treated disrespectfully just 'cause she's running.
She's being treated disrespectfully because she's lost and won't admit it. She's like a 3yr hold who'll cry & cry & cry if she doesn't get her way.

Then KNEW that you don't stay in when it is over. You congratulate the winner and either get on the winner's team enthusiastically or else get the hell out of the way. That's why nobody told them. They didn't HAVE to be told.

23. The disrespect Al Gore suffered from the media in the 2000 campaign
makes this look paltry. In her case, her gutter politics has ricocheted back at her and she seems frightfully unaware. She's never been my first candidate but neither had I bad feelings for her, until she began to try and bring Obama down as a means to raise herself up. Now she's surprised at our reaction? Sad.

28. It upsets me a great deal to disagree so entirely with President Clinton
I undestand he is working hard for his wife - but the popular vote thing is a red herring. The nomination is not determined by popular vote. And she only has a lead if you completely ignore the caucus states.

And the other candidates mentioned knew when to withdraw for the sake of the party. She has no chance of winning. Period.

Come on, Bill. I want to still respect you.

29. People didn't start asking her to leave the race until it was obvious
Edited on Mon May-26-08 05:55 PM by eagertolearn
that she couldn't win. Many of the votes she has received have been from fooling her followers into believing something that wasn't true. Just like she has been doing to Obama and the DNC blaming them for disenfrachising the voters in Florida and Michican. Those of us who pay attention and check our sources know what is going on. Her tactics worked for many of the voters who voted for her but the superdelegates are smarter than that and can see how she has been getting her votes and realize that this is really hurting the party. Most said let her finish but Bill Clinton and Hilllary's lie's have really been bringing down the whole party. Roberts Frosts poem (I think it is called "the road less traveled") comes to mind. Obama has taken the road less traveled because that is what he really believe's in and it worked. Hillary took the road most traveled (negative tearing down politics) and it was recognized by too many as the road that we are all tired of. We all have hit that fork in the road and have taken the wrong one at times. Hopefully we learned from our mistakes. Hopefully Bill and Hillary Clinton (and others who are watching) will learn from their's.

30. It is not because she is running.
I think the so-called "disrespect" is because people want to shut her up. She says too many divisive and damaging things, not to mention deceptive and irritating.

Bill knows what kind of campaign they have been running. They chose winning at all costs over being "respected". Criticism will get hotter for the Clintons if they succeed in tearing Obama down.
