http://action.americanrightsatwork.org/campaign/maerskalabamaThe pirate attack on the Maersk Alabama showed that unions can save the lives of workers by providing quality on-the-job training and support.
But millions of workers are harassed, intimidated, or fired for trying to join unions. The Employee Free Choice Act would change that. But corporate lobbyists are pulling out all the stops to block this bill.
Watch this video featuring the amazing story of the Maersk Alabama, then share it with Congress.

Dear < Decision Maker >,
(Edit Letter Below)
Just as Congress prepares to consider the Employee Free Choice Act, the importance of the right to unionize has been made shockingly clear.
When the cargo ship "Maersk Alabama" was attacked by pirates, the American crewmembers were able to protect themselves and each other. Now, those crewmembers have safely returned to their families. But they wouldn't have been able to do it without the vital, life-saving on-the-job training that their union provided them with. Here's what John Cronan, Third Engineer of the "Maersk Alabama," had to say about it: "We are American seamen. We are union members. We stuck together, we did our jobs. And that's how we did it."
I hope you will watch this video where he tells America how union training helped save the lives of his crew. I also hope you will do everything you can to pass the Employee Free Choice Act.
