Steele on Obama ribbing: 'Good love between two brothers'

Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Michael Steele said that President Obama's jokes Saturday night at his expense was just "good love between two brothers."

"Michael Steele is in the house tonight — or, as he would say, 'In the heezey,'" Obama said in his speech Saturday night, poking fun at Steele's propensity for incorporating some slang into his message as RNC chairman.

"It was good love between two brothers," Steele told Politics Daily after the dinner. "I was surprised, but I appreciate the president giving me a shout out. I've given him a few over the years, so he just returned the favor."

Both Obama and Steele share the distinction of being the first African-Americans to hold their respective positions.

Steele said it was nice to see the president relax in the informal setting of the White House Correspondents' Dinner, and that the jokes were all in good fun.

"It was nice to get the ribbing. Look, anytime you're called out by the President of the United States is pretty cool, right?" Steele said. "Look, this worm will turn. My time will come — trust me."

If Rush Limbaugh were not breathing down Steele's back he would be a moderate Republican...Although I want the Republicans to continue on the path they are on self destructing...The moderates in the Party will eventually have to stand up.

Oh well, I know watching Steele on a daily basis is very entertaining...HELL, the entire Republican Party is one big comedy show!!

I'm going to steal a comment I saw on another YouTube video of Steele: "I've never seen a black guy try so hard to act black." I wonder if next he'll be saying he enjoys "drinkin' a fawty wit his shawty."

My favorite so far is probably when he was talking about how people wear their hats in different orientations in different parts of the country, and "in the Northeast, I wear my hat backwards, cause that's just how we roll in the Northeast." :rofl:
