3. I clearly remember stories of Cheney visiting the CIA to cook up reports.

You remember the stories of Cheney visiting the CIA to get them to cook the evidence the way he wanted it. To make the way they 'saw it' to be the way Cheney wanted it.

I also remember Bush/Cheney ignoring things they did not like.

It sounds like they are so far into deception, they are even trying to redefine the meaning of deception. Now that's pretty pathetic.

5. But you really can't blame Lieberman too much......

....he was in the "infatuation" phase of his love affair with George. He would draw little hearts on his CIA briefings. He couldn't concentrate on anything. Attention span of a gnat. Such was his amorous compulsion that he publicly affected his love for the president. Thus the moniker "kissy face".

6. although a bit commercial, and not directly about anyone including Lieberman's case,

There is something to be learned there, who we chose to respect is probably someone that has similar values. But if that respect becomes too much 'following', then if they have views different then us, we would be less able to see it, because we exchanged support for followship.
