50. Yes as brilliant as the stars....still mesmerized...
and suddenly along comes the best of all worlds swirling out of the void like a shower of blinding diamonds....got to get a draft Kennedy movement going. Right now this man is Americas' greatest star and one to pin our hopes on.
ONE OF THE MOST BRILLIANT SPEECHES I HAVE EVER HEARD. "WILL SEE YOU ON THE BARRICADES" big choke up here.

71. Criminals Galore
Yeah, I've been thinking that for several years. I have a Bush:scared: -shirt with Impeachment crossed out and Imprisonment written in hand above.

These guys are simple criminals and have been since the 2000 election. They have compounded it by the Iraq war - now they should face the death penalty. (And I oppose capital punishment for humans)

48. The little things give people a vested interest in the issue. When
that happens then it goes to next step to protect that vested interest. If I change my bulbs I have made the first move along a road to political action. But I agree that nothing we the little guy does if there is not action in the business world and the political world. For that reason we need to do what RFK jr. asks about the sponsors of the trash media. So, this is what DU does best: set this up for those of us who do not listen to the idiots so we can write the sponsors by first telling us who to write to: addresses/email addresses/telephone numbers etc.

Edited on Sun Jul-08-07 02:59 AM by Decruiter
He so speaks so much truth to power.

If he did decide to run I fear that my fear would get the best of me. The same fear I warned someone else off of tonight.

RFK Jr is Presidential.

Maybe we could have our own "shadow government".

Gore, RFK Jr., Kucinich, Ron Paul, fun to play with anyway. One can dream...

It's so refreshing to hear a principled person who truly understands the bigger picture of the environmental cause. You can tell this is his passion. We need a president who understands the seriousness of our environmental decline. IMO, after ending the war, saving the environment is the next most urgent issue.

I wish that he was running. I know there are nuts out there who would possibly do him harm - what's to say they won't do harm to any of our DEMs though?

I think I have found someone here that I would support as wholeheartedly as Gore if he were to run. Love to hear the truth spoken out loud and love that person who has the courage to speak it.

14. Will do as I have great respect for Octafish
but, do we really want to continue to live in fear of the thugs of the world? WE need to protect those who will lead us more adequately. Maybe this time round is not the time for RFK jr. but it would be horrendous if our culture is such that someone of that quality could not lead because of out-of-control thuggery.

I refuse to accept that as my future - though I see it is now part of my present.

Good luck with your refusal to recognize the reality that surrounds you.

I gave it up within the last few years, there just are not enough of us "we the people" types that give a good god'damned to make a fL*)* difference in the grand scheme of things. Too many are still too busy shopping and vacationing and believing in the "American Dream". I can't change that and I believe the Kennedy family knows it as well. Read "Brothers". The most recent book out about the Kennedy brothers and those very sad years this country lived through.

It is not the duty of the Kennedy family to solve the crimes, it is our duty as citizens of this country to demand resolution and to demand the truth, the truth is there. A huge crime was committed against the Kennedy family and this nation. Too many threads lead to the Bush family. We lost our country and our democracy in November of 1963.

Mafia on Steriods. The Sopranos they got nothing on this.............

Until we the people of this country go back and solve it, demand answers and move forward, well we stand on a very dangerous precipice.

A dangerous cliff that we edge closer to by the day.

RFK Jr has no problem saying it, he is absolutely eloquent in the definition of FACISM!

69. Edwards can be
the AG. I also like Ron Paul. He's Ross Perot-ish but not as nutty. I still would like to hear more from Ron Paul but if Hillary gets the primary and if Ron Paul got it on his side I just might lean towards him. I don't think I could relive all the dirty laundry from the lost files, to the Vince Foster suicide to Monica. And you know it's gonna come up. I would really like to vote for her but anyone who didn't know that Bush was lying about Saddam is just plain stupid. I'm sorry. I don't care what kind of intellegence you saw or read, just look at the jackass that's telling you this. How come no one listened to Scott Ritter. There so gung-ho on going to Iraq after the bombing instead of maybe looking for themselves before. And she's the Senator of New York but I have never heard her say anything in relation to 9/11. Again no one is investigating the worst event on our soil. Bush and Cheney wrap themselves in a 9/11 flag and no one dare touch them. Simply Amazing

I was unable to catch it on the broadcast, but from what people were saying here I knew it was must-see TV.

He really pulled no punches! This is the first time in a long time where I knew that the public figure speaking, was speaking his own mind, no filters applied. Gripping. And very important. I especially like that he called out the lying scientists whose opinions are bought and paid for.

39. This took guts
Bobby has a problem with public speaking, as he had some severe asthma years back, and it affected
his speaking voice. But despite this, he is fearless about speaking up in public or wherever, and
you can tell instantly that he is sincere. He has never run for anything, and probably won't. But
that's a sad enough thing when times like today cry out for people like Al Gore and Bobby, and instead
we get Dick Cheney, Tony Snow, Fred Thompson and Ralph Nader.

We must have incurred some heavy karma debt somewhere along the way. I feel like the poor kid who
passes in front of the window of a pastry shop, sees his favorite cake, and doesn't have a cent in his pocket.

WE THE PEOPLE HAVE A MANDATE. WE THE PEOPLE HAVE A VOICE. WE THE PEOPLE ARE IN THE FIRST THROES OF A NEW REVOLUTION.

I DO NOT ACCEPT the current crop of politicians' egregiously inaccurate assessment of the citizens of this great nation. They seriously underestimate their constituency. We THE PEOPLE are NOT lazy. We THE PEOPLE are NOT disinterested. We THE PEOPLE are NOT hedonistic beyond redemption.

I have no difficulty accepting that this revolution will test us. We are fighting for our nation, for our brethren worldwide, AND for our planet. Our numbers are far greater than this criminal cabal infesting and dismantling our government.

Furthermore, their lapdog media sycophants had better stop portraying us as a bunch of hedonistic vidiot types who are too comfortable to get out of our living rooms. While those lapdogs have had their heads buried in the sphincters of their masters, they've missed all the demonstrations, all the town hall meetings, all the freeway blogging, and ALL the revolutionary spirit fomenting in the face of these corrupt Corporate Megalomaniacs.

We The People will prevail. We ALWAYS have.

We as a nation have a moral responsibility to campaign for Justice, to campaign for Impeachment, to campaign to free those unlawfully imprisoned, to work to save the environment from the disastrous policies of the * administration, for just the reasons RFK spoke of. Not for the fishes and the birds sakes, but because without them we are doomed. Once people realize that last point, that once the fisha and birds are safe we will be safe, they will wake up.

62. I just can't listen to him
I know he has a disease of some sort and that's why his voice is like that, but it's impossible for me to listen to, no matter what good points he makes.

64. Kennedy/Kennedy
Edited on Sun Jul-08-07 07:15 PM by Mark D.
Since JFK Jr. was offed...as his father and uncle were by the regressives
disguised as by others or engine failure, there are still two capable and
ready Kennedy's left. Bobby & his brother Joe. Joe left Washington to do
nothing but try to help those in need of heating oil with his charity...
A different kind of oil man and the best revenge and middle finger to a
host of evil that denied his father the presidency. Seriously, if JFK &
RFK both survived and had 2 terms each as president just imagine the
better country we'd have now? Better civil rights / relations, no build
up in Viet Nam, no Watergate. No shit. RFK Jr & Joe 2008. THEY'D WIN...

77. Transcript of RFK, jr speech at Live Earth -
Now we've all heard the oil industry and the coal industry and their indentured servants in the political process telling us that global climate stability is a luxury that we can't afford. That we have to choose now between economic prosperity on the one hand and environmental protection on the other. And that is a false choice.

In 100% of the situations, good environmental policy is identical to good economic policy --- if we want to measure our economy, and this is how we ought to be measuring it, based upon how it produces jobs and the dignity of jobs over the generations, how it preserves the values of the assets of our community and how it averts the catastrophe of global warming.

If, on the other hand, we want to do what they've been urging us to do on Capitol Hill which is to treat the planet as if it were a business in liquidation, convert our natural resources to cash as quickly as possible, have a few years of pollution based prosperity, we can generate an instantaneous cash flow and the illusion of a prosperous economy. But our children are going to pay for our joyride with denuded landscapes, with poor health, with huge cleanup costs and with climate chaos which is going to amplify over time and that they will never be able to pay.

Environmental injury is deficit spending. It is a way of loading the costs of our generation's prosperity on to the backs of our children. Climate change is upon us. Its impacts are going to be catastrophic and we are causing it. The good news is, we have the scientific and technological capacity to avert its most catastrophic impacts. We only need the political will.

If we raise fuel economy standards in our automobiles by one mile --- we generate twice the amount of oil that is in the Arctic National Wildlife Refugee. If we raise fuel economy standards by 7.6 miles per gallon we yield more oil than we now import from the Persian Gulf. We can eliminate 100% of Persian Gulf oil.

Think about what that would do for our economy, for our foreign policy, for our global leadership, it would dramatically improve our balance of payments, reduce our national debt and make all of us more prosperous and more independent and spare us from wars in the Mid-East that are costing us, already, a trillion dollars and from entanglements with Mid-Eastern dictators who despise democracy and are hated by their own people.

Now you've heard today a lot of people say that there are many little things that you all can do today to avert climate change on your own. But I will tell you this, it is more important than buying compact flourescent light bulbs or than buying a fuel efficient automobile. The most important thing you can do is to get involved in the political process and get rid of all of these rotten politicians that we have in Washington D.C. --

Who are nothing more than corporate toadies for companies like Exxon and Southern Company, these villainous companies that consistently put their private financial interest ahead of American interest and ahead of the interest of all of humanity. This is treason and we need to start treating them now as traitors.

And they have their slick public relations firms and their phony think tanks in Washington D.C. and their crooked scientists who are lying to the American people day after day after day. And we have a press that has completely let down American Democracy. That's giving us Ana Nicole Smith and Paris Hilton instead of the issues that we need to understand to make rational decisions in a democracy - like global warming.

And so I am going to tell you this, that the next time you see John Stossel or Glenn Beck or Rush Limbaugh or Sean Hannity --- these flat-earthers, these corporate toadies, lying to you, lying to the American public, and telling you that global warming doesn't exist --- you send an email to their advertisers and tell them that you are not going to buy their products anymore.

And I want you to remember this, that we are not protecting the environment for the sake of the fishes and the birds, we are protecting it because nature is the infrastructure of our communities. And if we want to meet our obligation as a generation, as a civilization, as a nation, which is to create communities for our children that provide them with the same opportunities for dignity, and enrichment, and good health, and prosperity, and stability as the communities that our parents gave us, we've got to start by protecting our environmental infrastructure.

The air we breathe, the water we drink, the wildlife, the public lands, the things that connect us to our past to our history that provide context to our communities and that are the source, ultimately, of our values and our virtues and our character as a people and the future of our children.

And I will see all of you on the barricades.

Sorry to spoil the party but...

Don't be surprised if you hear of an unexpected plane crash with RFK aboard sometime in the next few years. The coorperate/republican trators can not allow this man to exist and they deal with such problems harshly.

I sincerely hope I am wrong ... for Bobby's sake!

My younger daughter starts Pace Law this fall, and that is where Bobby teaches.

79. Draft RFK Jr. for President in 2008!
Just wanted to let you know that we have started an online petition to Draft RFK Jr. into the 2008 presidential race. Please visit our website to find out more at http://RFKin2008.com

One of the best ways to let a potential candidate know you support them is with a draft petition. The more signatures we collect, the greater consideration Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is likely to give the idea of a run for the presidency in 2008.

A recent draft petition for Al Gore garnered over 100,000 signatures! This can be a powerful way to send a message to Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as well. There is strength in numbers!

Please show Bobby your support and sign the petition today. He needs to hear from all of us right now! Tell your friends, family, co-workers, neighbors, church and civic groups, tell anybody who will listen. Use the “email friends” feature on our petition to send out multiple emails at once. It’s fast, easy and free!

Please tell your MySpace friends about the petition, add a link to your blog, to message boards, anything you can do to help get the word out is appreciated.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT OF RFK JR.!
