Is "War Pigs" not the most perfectly crafted protest song ever ?

funny you mention that really. i just put that song on my ipod today. its a pretty amazing song, and i am all for using music to promote democratic/liberal messages.

been going there for 30+ years. Last year, the band playing that Saturday night played "War Pigs" and did a damn good version of it. The bandmembers were all 20-something. Having owned the original Black Sabbath album and listened to "War Pigs" some 1 million+ times, I walked up to the stage at the break and complemented them on their version of "War Pigs" and I said, "Isn't that a great song for the Iraq War?" It was like the thought never crossed their minds and they stopped and said, "Yeah, you're right!" I told them about how that song came out during the Viet Nam war and how it's so applicable today. They just thought that was so cool that a song from back then applied so well to today. Later I told my wife I was dismayed that they apparently never made the connection between the Iraq war and the song, but at least they did get it and were now more aware.

Subverting this administration one mind at a time!

Talk about your coincidences. I stumbled across this video on You Tube this weekend. I watched it for the song, but the video is very well done too. Makes me sad. "When will they ever learn?"
