1. Nice piece.
While I agree about this hypocrisy Cenk pointed out the M$M media is still behaving as though the Tea Party movement is the most credible grass roots movement in history.

I wonder what motivates MSNBC to report that there were 10,000 participants at the Boston Tea Party rally. They were careful to keep their cameras aimed away from the perimeter of the crowd. I thought MSNBC was the 'liberal' station. Guess not. Later air shots of the crowd showed at most 2,500 participants.

All the networks do this-exaggerate the crowd size at Tea Party rallies. Why?

3. CIA infiltration
No joke.

"Beware a man who buys his ink by the barrel" rough quote from Mark Twain.

Back in the 1970's Danial Patrick Moynihan estimated the CIA had close to 200,000 reps working inside the media. And he even admitted then that he thought that figure was probably way low.

Nothing happens by accident.

4. The local TV stations reported a crowd of about 5000, but who really knows?
Half of them were probably curious onlookers.

Besides, how can you have a mass movement of people whose main commonality is anger and selfishness? It's not much of a basis for solidarity.

6. I think that people are afraid
of the Tea Party movement. Tea party folks are very passionate about their beliefs (even though their political beliefs are largely based on lies). They choose "targets" to get voted out of office, they spread lies about their enemies and some of them seem like they could be violent against their political rivals.

8. Yes, we are afraid of the tea party BOZOs.
That's because many of them have assault rifles, tons of
ammo and a bur up their butt about something.

Don't turn your back on the McVeih party.....the sleeper
cells are waking up.

29. That's the most infuriating part of the whole Teabaggers nonsense.
They are a group of uninformed racists and they're being treated like they have something legitimate to say. Bravo to the Globe for exposing the rank and rampant hypocrisy.

2. What I find amazing is conservatives have been like this since they found their spokesman
Raygun who voiced their views and then made them a policy. It has never been about stopping welfare for them, the conservatives, it has always been about stopping minorities from getting government help, the more folks on government programs the less benefits they receive, that is their belief. That is why they have no problem with corporate welfare, notice the nit wits had no problem with the $700 million * give away to the banks but went totally nuts when Obama gave the banks money and demanded they pay it back, how dare he!!!!!!!!

The tea baggers are the scum of the earth, when they worked for unions, got paid union wages, everything was fine and dandy, yet when minorities and women were given the same union wages it was time to scream unions was killing the jobs by driving the cost of products up. Yet back in the 50's and 60's before the civil rights law unions were the best thing to happen to the work force. Conservatives are greedy self centered 5 year olds that say nothing while they benefit until someone else they disagree with gets the same benefits, then they cry about how it hurts them.

5. I noticed that Cenk's first example attended Pittsburgh STATE College.
That person is getting a college education that is subsidized by the taxpayers. If she was getting a similar education from a private college, chances are, she'd be paying thousands of dollars more for that education. But that doesn't count in her mind. All she knows is what Faux Snooze and the RW talk shows fill her head with.

As Cenk said, these peoples' hypocrisy knows no bounds.

And how much do you want to bet the mother of 10 drawing off Medicaid is one of these good Catholics who keeps bringing kids in the world because her celibate priests and bishops with no experience and knowledge of raising a family tell her to live this way?

7. I'd bet
that she is cleaning up on food stamps too. That's not the problem though, she is a greedy idiot who can't comprehend. They have been brainwashed by glenn beck ($23 million a year salary + "speaking" fees ) and rush (well over a hundred million $$ a year). The movie "V" depicts this hypocrisy better than any other non-documentaries I have seen. I just can not comprehend..

Depicts it even better than V if you ask me. Plus it has the greatest movie fight scene of all time with Keith David and Roddy Piper suplexing each other in an alley.

22. and the media just wants a show they can sell tickets for. The protesters
deserve our scorn and mockery for not even trying to become informed about what they come to protest. Sarah Palin left Wasilla and Alaska huge deficits up to seven times more than when she took office yet they think she's a budget hawk because they refuse to accept the Palin reality. Like assuming John McCain knows a damn thing about foreign policy, these goobers create their own reality far below what is true and accurate.

24. The idiot with the ten children can a thank a Liberal for her
'blessings'. I wonder if she knows that? Does she know that if Republicans had their way, she could not have had her little blessings? Yet, I bet she's a Republican.

The stupidity knows no bounds. It's frightening! Maybe there's something in the water here in the U.S. ~

tea party crowd. Find out how many are beneficiaries of govt run programs, including Medicare, Medicaid, SSI, unemployment, and anything else you can thing of.

28. Got 10 children. On Medicaid. She IS what the teabaggers oppose!
And she supports them.

All of them are stupid, but she takes the cake.

We should give these morons what they want. Any teabagger who opposes 'government' health care should immediately have their Medicaid, Medicare, and VA benefits taken away. That would be the end of the teabagger movement.

30. Teabaggers are racist fascist ignoramuses.
They are of the same ilk as the people who put Hitler in power who used the Jews as scapegoats for the situation that the German militarists' failed policy of European domination created. The analogy between the situation in Germany and the situation that Bush and his neo-con imperialists in United States has left us in is analogous in many aspects. Our military's effectiveness has been greatly compromised and will require trillions in expenditures to return it to the its pre-Bush status. The destruction of our economy is of catastrophic proportions. What the Republican leadership is desperately attempting to do is to transfer the blame for our deplorable situation that they are fully responsible for creating to the present administration that is struggling to rectify the desperate situation. It must be sadly added that it is being done with the compliance of the major media outlets that refuse to provide an unbiased assessment of the situation and appear to only inflame the hysteria by providing these charlatans and their deluded ignoramuses with a degree of credibility.
