Hmmm, some questions have been raised with Morning Joe, indeed!

They've ripped on him more than once on that show. Mika was thinking of Olbermann, but with both being under the peacock umbrella, she didn't want to say it on the air. Keith would've taken umbrage at the fact someone from his own network compared him to Rush Limbaugh. As well he should. His rhetoric in no way comes close to Rush's. Rush is as incendiary and mean spirited as they come. And has a problem with the facts on many occasions.

But her failure to name names left that implied false equivalence unchallenged. There's no comparison between Olbermann and Limbeck. Olbermann has not, as far as I know, advocated secession or the violent overthrow of the duly elected government.

i was pretty pissed bout it last night so was bit emotional in my response but yes - keith and rachel do not advocate radical violent behavior nor do they try to arrouse it others the way foxnews does - keith, rachel, and ed all advocate a better, more accountable government that would actually work for the people of this country. That's why Mika couldn't answer the question because she knows yours or mine here or something similar would have been Walsh's reply. :toast:

It isn't divisive to call a tea party rally a Klan March when so many of their placards exhibit hatred for the president of the United States based on his African heritage and so many of the same people carrying the racist signs can't explain the policies they claim to be actually protesting. It isn't divisive to call Sarah Palin an idiot when she clearly doesn't know what she's talking about; perhaps it would help if she wrote the text of the Constitution on her hand in order to avoid stupid references to how the Founding Fathers didn't separate church and state. It isn't divisive to call Dick Chaney a war criminal when he admits to having been "a big believer in waterboarding" and there is ample evidence that he willfully manipulated intelligence in order to make Iraq out to be a far greater threat than it was and it certainly isn't violent to insist that he he be made to answer for such charges in a criminal trial and, if found guilty, be made to spend the rest of his natural life behind bars.

One has to go back decades to recall when members of the Weather Underground threatened the lives of political figures and their families or spoke of armed insurrection against the federal government.

He isn't a serial fabulist or crazy as a loon, however, and I think one ought to be able to make the distinction. Apparently I'm wrong with regard to Mika and Joe.

Well maybe Malloy. Olbermann and Schultz are not telling lies to get people riled up and are not advocating violence. They just tell the truth and they think it's hell.

Limbaugh, Beck, Palin, Savage, Bachmann and on and on cannot speak without lying or blowing either the racist or violence dog whistles.

This was a great behind the scenes look at MSNBC. What a treasure. It proves to me that allowing Olberman, Maddow, and Schultz (if that is what the lady meant) is a fragile relationship at MSNBC.

I've thought they were right wing for 20? years? When did they start up - by covering the O J Simpson trial. I used to watch them religiously and I learned a lot about who was who and the organizations they spoke for. I started piecing it together very well during the Clinton character assassination.

Even though I don't watch (except for occasional videos of O, M, and S) - they have always been and probably always will be an extremely right wing corporation.

Post an announcement if Mika and Joe ever grow up.

These people are running away with right wing blather . The thing is this Mika chick and Scaborough are extreme right wing idealogs. Anyone on the left on this bogusly horrible program are sensored. Hell these creeps will shut off your mic. They're no different then Hannity or O'reilly, or Beck or any of the right wing nut jobs that can't take anything derogatory about their prescious right.

Of course he could go to Fox or CNN. However, there's a new conservative network coming this summer called "RightNetwork". Its going to be a network where they complain about liberals all day, talk about Republicans running for office and make jokes about Obama. I watched some of their Youtube videos and it looked almost as entertaining as watching ice melt. However, I think Joe and Mika would fit right in and they're bound to need news people.

Personally, I would love to see a morning show with Ed, Rachel, Keith, Matthews or Lawrence O'Donnell. Joe never made sense for them. The vast majority of MSNBC's audience are liberals so it never made any sense to have conservatives running their morning show.

What's also surprising are the moderator responses on this thread. The footage is an act of censorship in real time.
