1. "In fact, the real action on this bill, what will make it passable or useless, is not "
" coming from Republicans but from the left:
Finally, there’s the argument, which top Wall Street executives have conveyed directly to senior White House officials in recent days, that the administration faces almost as much peril as Wall Street does if it brings a partisan bill to the Senate floor. Should that happen, the argument goes, Senate liberals like Maria Cantwell and Byron Dorgan could triumph on amendments that would move the bill well to the left of where even the administration wants it. (In a telephone interview Monday afternoon, Dorgan allowed that he was “thinking through how to approach the too-big-to-fail piece” and that he might offer an amendment, though he was amused by the idea that it would represent a radical leftward thrust.)

This is written in the typical left=hippies style so prevalent in Washington, but it’s perfectly legitimate to ask whether the Dodd bill does anything to rein in the financial sector and prevent the next financial crisis. Whether it’s Cantwell’s Glass-Steagall act or Dorgan and Sanders pushing TBTF legislation or Sherrod Brown and Ted Kaufman really taking on bank size, the facts are that some Democrats actually want this policy to work rather than just wanting a policy."http://news.firedoglake.com/

3. K&R
Everyone with a Republican in the family (by whose reckoning the financial crisis began in November 2006) should not only watch this but should memorize it.

7. "Lehman leading purveyor of liars loans in the world. "
And the whores in D.C. are going to try and ignore this good man and many others like him.

I love the way he calls out Bernanke.

If you can attend, please do so:

RALLY & MARCH ON WALL STREET with AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka

4PM to 6PM

Wall Street tanked America’s economy, killed jobs, took $700 billion in taxpayer bailouts—then went right back to business as usual, choking off credit, handing out $145 billion in 2009 executive pay and bonuses and fighting meaningful financial reform.

We’re 11 million jobs in the hole and it’s time for the financial industry to pay up to create them.

Join AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka and thousands of union and community activists from across the country marching down Broadway in the heart of the financial district on April 29 to MAKE WALL STREET PAY.

See you there. For information contact the New York City Central Labor Council at 212-604-9552 or www.nycclc.org .

Those with the greedy eyes, minds, and souls have their money. Now, change the system.

Write this entire theft up in the plainest of language so that everyone can understand it.

Use video, graphs, pies, quotes, chronology, testimony - everythinge possible to match the predominant learning trigger in our heads - text, visuals, sound, relational comparisons, testimonies, names.

It is amazing how crime makes us learn - we took it for granted that someone was watching out for the country and our votes were stolen. They went after us in every way possible. They went after lives. Including the children.

We also need to stop the parking of money outside the US, sending jobs and factories outside the US, registering outside the US, stop outsourcing, as well.

We need to get this through the heads of the followers so that we can join together instead of fighting because the real fight is with greed and those who think they are they are the cleverest of the banking mafia.

8. "THE FEDS knew the banks were playing 3-CARD MONTY" and didn't stop it!
this guy is great - the MSM should be playing his comments and asking Congress to look into why the prev. admin. ignored the facts.

10. Did anyone notice how few Congressmen and Congresswomen were in attendance to hear
what Mr. Black had to say? I could only see three sitting on the front row, counting the Chair.

That's how much of a shit our elected reps give about this. As long as they get their campaigns financed by the Wall Street Cartel they don't care what the real story is. This is going to die a quick death by being ignored by the media just as it was ignored by the Congresscritters who are supposed to be providing the leadership and funding for the Feds to investigate and prosecute AND regulate the financial sector.

Rec. Thanks for posting this, swag.

17. He wrote a top 10 ways to crack down on corporate crime piece last month.
I posted the article here after finding it over at Common Dreams March 5th. The opener I found intense, the list, concise.

For the democratic notion to be built on from generation to generation, the equal application and enforcement of the rule of law is a weight bearing beam. The banksters think they can buy their way out of this with their ill gotten gains, it's up to a reasonable but outraged public to insist that justice be level, because this has not been a playing field, but a war zone.

My only regret is I have but a single kick to offer. RECOMMENDED.

What struck me is that there are only a handful of the bastards the citizens elected who give a shit enough to even attend the meeting. Hopefully his speech will be carried by MSM, but I won't hold my breath. What in the hell is Obama doing having these worthless assholes in his administration?
