Who are the executives who were coming to celebrate the safety record that day?
Was the work hastily completed because of their pending visit?
Why haven't we heard about the other workers totally 11 of them?
What about the escape pod that workers could jump in, in the event of a pending explosion? It may have been found and there may be some nasty results.
AND... what about the inability to plug the hole with mud before capping it? Why did it appear that the mud plug sequence was replaced by simply trying to cap it, thus causing a methane bubble to form that went BOOM?

I would love to see someone report on this!

it was described to me to be either the largest or the second largest oil deposit ever found. It is mostly a natural gas deposit. That is another reason not to blast too willy nilly there. The natural gas that could be released is really way beyond the oil in quantity. It is like 10,000 times the oil in the deposit.
