May 18th, 2010: Massey Energy held its annual stockholders' meeting in Richmond Va's Jefferson Hotel. In the wake of the recent Upper Big Branch Mine disaster, in which 29 coal miners lost their lives due to inadequate safety measures, there has been much call for Massey CEO Don Blankenship's resignation, and criminal investigation of his operations.

VR was on the scene when 1000+ union coal miners protested at the Massey Shareholders' Meeting, supported by other unions, environmentalists, and advocates of social justice. We interviewed several protesters from the various groups, including StopTheChamber spokesman Kevin Zeese.

Massey CEO Don Blankenship is on the board of the US Chamber of Commerce, and has fought tenaciously to keep unions out of his mines.
