2. John Grisham's recent novel "The Associate" (published 2009) is about Waverider...
about two defense contractors litigating over this craft. Supposedly it skips between hyperspace and the atmosphere like a rock skips across a lake.

Very fuel efficient. Uses a scramjet air breathing engine. Travels at about mach 5. (Not that I claim to understand all this.) :)

After I read Grisham's book I googled "Waverider". Wondered if he made it up, but sure enough...
