1. What this country has done to Iraq is impardonable, but here we have Lara Logan.....
... ignoring the U.S. destruction of Iraq and the resulting absence of food, materials, goods, money, a functioning economy or country anymore, of water, of everything thanks to the U.S. But HEY, the Iraqis should be running an efficient orphanage according to Lara Logan. If Lara Logan's lips were planted planted any deeper up Bush's anus, she'd never be found again.

3. She needs to stop blaming the Iraqis. The Iraqis had a country before the U.S. destroyed it...
Edited on Sun Sep-09-07 08:09 PM by Sarah Ibarruri
Lara Logan is a liar. I don't see how anyone could defend her for blaming Iraqis for their mess of a country causing an orphanage to be a frikkin disgusting mess with no equipment and no personnel. The mess was created by us. And why isn't she discussing the deaths of Iraqi children caused by this country?

4. She's astonished that the Minister of Labor is 'dishonest'
and in general comes across as exceedingly naive.

You're absolutely right, in the grand scheme of things Iraqi children suffering at an orphanage is a blip on the radar. How many hundreds of thousands have died at our hands?

6. Yep! When she does a story on how many children the U.S. govt. has killed, then I'll listen
Edited on Sun Sep-09-07 08:56 PM by Sarah Ibarruri
I think that because it was visually sensationalistic, she figured she had one whopper of a story and it would put her on the journalist map big time. She kept mentioning, "Anyone who would LOOK at those children." Uh ok, we've seen them. Stop bs'ing me. Please talk about the dead children, killed by the U.S. Govt. How many are there? Show them please.

5. the template she was referring to pointed as well to the obstacles...
offered *by* the US impeding upon her work as a journalist, she has reported on the deaths caused by US forces repeatedly that you may not have caught those pieces does not then convert her into a "liar", she reports that "the army" hid the info for a week, that the process is a convoluted mess that does not lend itself to easy reporting of truth, she reports the Bill'O is "completely and utterly ludicrous" which is...not...arguable, she reports nowhere on behalf on the cheney/bush admin, now...

you may suggest as do i that we should never have gone in there

you may suggest that Saddam was better suited as dictator/tyrant of a sectarian Iraq, especially after reviewing a bit of Mesopotamian history which indicates that what we now know as Iraq was forever a lose assembly of tribes (still being played out) held together, by little more it would seem, than violence, death, fear, and intimidation since the dawn of history; the fertile crescent...but Iraq has been what it is for 1,000's of years, and in spite of the death & chaos we have ham-handedly brought un-invited; we will have made no difference in that regard

it is fairly common knowledge, however, that Logan calls them as she sees them. does she 'see them all'? who does? do you?

i think some have a hard time moving past her personage, her screen image http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/05/17/AR2006051702337.html

in the end we are both entitled to ours opinions, that much is clear
