1. I don't understand...
Why would he stage a phone call from his wife? How does that help him? It makes him look rude, and brings attention to his messed up personal life.

2. I don't get it either. It looks obviously staged, and it's the second time he's done this.

Maybe he thinks it's good to show what a good, loving marriage his present marriage is, in spite of the messiness of his divorces, and estrangement from his children. Or maybe he thinks it's a funny, light moment. Very strange.

23. Maybe not staged. I think she's giving him pointers.

A lot of people have spoken of Judith's "take no prisoners" attitude towards winning the White House. Most say she runs his campaign, and I suspect she's watching Rudy's speeches and calling to give him pointers on what to say next when he's bombing badly on stage (which is what was happening when the call came in).

13. This is the second time he pulls this stunt...
He did the same shit a couple of weeks ago.

Basically he is just pulling the marital bliss card, plus it makes him seem as an every day person... who is oh, so in love with his devoted wife. Making sure we all heard the "I love you" back. This is basically the political equivalent of bringing hug bears and cute ponys for the audience to got "aaaaaahhhhhhhh, so cute." Since he is going for the conservative wacko vote, the impression of marital bliss is more important than anything. You know, marriages are always blissful when two heterosexuals are involved. Esp. when the man is trying to do his job, and the pesky woman calls at the most unreasonable of times... with yet another stupid request -- she is a woman, let's not forget -- but the gentleman that he is, he not only puts up with her crap. He also prioritizes her, and he loves her, even though she is kind of inconvenient --again, let's not forget... she is a woman.

See at how many levels this f*cktard is working? And then all these idiots go "aaahhh, isn't that cute?" I guess no one is wondering, hum... "is that the same mistress which he had living in the Major's mansion for months, while she was still married to his second wife?"

21. He needs to ...

I think he needs to fake a call from his two ex-wives or his estranged daughter.

16. Trying to plant in peoples mind that he isn't with her just because ...
...she is younger than his daughter, and that she isn't with him because he has money and rides in helicopters.

15. Remember Tipper and Al Gore kissing at the Dem convention?
Rudy is trying to copy them, albeit clumsily.

8. Another shaky marriage
Why wouldn't he inform his wife about his campaign schedule? Does she even know he is running for President? Is he hiding it from her because he is having an affair with a campaign staffer? Lots of questions with no answers.

The staged cell phone call is just rude and stupid. Oh well, it's no worse than his idea of replacing lost revenue from one tax cut by passing another tax cut. According to Rudy, government could have infinite revenue simply by eliminating taxes altogether.

12. Maybe she calls him when he is in public because he is
nasty when she talks to him in private. Maybe she called him to tell him off in a situation in which he can't be rude back. Maybe she called to encourage/discourage or approve/disapprove of what he was saying. Anyway the call was a distraction that allowed him to get away from a speech that wasn't going anywhere and was boring. Ahh that's it. Comic relief from boredom. It was probably his campaign manager telling him he was losing his audience. Maybe it wasn't his wife at all.

18. Maybe he's proud about how high tech he is, with his cell phone
and wants everyone else to know. Remember the olden days, when we only had pagers, Doctors and lawyers were on call, he wants to be paged to prove he's important enough to warrant the attention. What a hokey dumb bunch of crappola. The NRA guys were certainly fooled. Bunch of psychotic, paranoid, halfwit, gun lovers, will fall for a staged charlatan con job, everytime. Rampant Republic' stupidity, in action.

22. Next time ...

Yeah Rudie is important. Next time I think he needs to stage being told the country is under attack while reading to children.

Of course Rudie is living up to his name. He's RUDE!!! What kind of jackass interrupts a large crowd to take a cell phone call.
