3. Enjoy your Police State!
What a mother load. Now they can easily ramp-up the surveillance and infringement of your rights to the point that there won't be anything but the rights of corporatism to restrict, control and punish people -- all at a profit.

We can add "soft targets" to the growing lexicon of buzz-words that are not so much about anti-terrorism, but more about being engulfed in the iron-fisted reality of the Military Industrial Complex at its apex.

Accepting that kind of control, repression and interference makes being safe seem rather laughable. Being safe includes having Constitutional Rights, as far as I am considered. What is safety if it involves consenting to living in a virtual prison environment in lock-down?

If people continue to accept this, step-by-step, it is easy to extrapolate an Orwellian future on steroids -- dark and dystopian. Will future generations call the result ordinary life because we accepted it simply out of fear?

Just who becomes the terrorist in that scenario? Best check yourself now because, you never know, one might be lurking inside you.

4. Saw this coming the minute they announced his death.
Bin Landen's alive, we need more TSA.
Bin Laden's dead, we more TSA.
In the near future, half the country will be employed to spy, search, imprison, guard, the other half of the population.

Its like DDR, og the Soviet Union, where you once had half the population spy on the other half of the population.. And where you could be arrested for life, for doing a bad joke about the leadership.. Yes, in USSR you could get 20 year behind bars, becouse of making a bad joke about Josef Stalin...

TSA are not more, than the old KGB frontier Guard, who once was there to guard the border and to intemidate everyone who wanted to leave, or wisit.. I know a few things about the guards in some Eastern European nations, both before and after the wall get down.. But at the sound of it, TSA are just a gang of bullies who play out their "fantasies":.. Not that most of the frontier guards of the Soviet block was allways good.. But at least they had some profesionalism to it..

Oh, wel, the old KGB was not excactly polite itself, it took a long time before KGB got it right, and under Stalin, the NKVD guard was known as really bad police... With a lot of power, but seldom the brains to follow the power..

16. So did I...
I thought when I heard of Osama's execution that Michael Chertoff and his investors at Rapiscan would be popping champagne corks. Imagine, now they can say, "Uh-oh! Al Qaeda's pissed! That means we're going to have to ratchet up porno-scanners at all US airports (resulting in hundreds of millions of dollars in government contracts).

And, of course, to make porno-scanners more palatable, we're going to increase TSA groping...

But I didn't think this paranoia would flow out onto MainStreet USA. Must be more government contracts in the making.

And why is it the media always interview the "I know it's resulting in a police state, but better to be safe than sorry"-types?

And what "freedom" do they mean? "Freedom" for us to invade nations and kill their citizens for their natural resources?

6. All for fluff...
while airport/airline ramp workers just walk through doors without being screened.

It's all for show...and the TSA / RushThugs / T.Haters just LOVE keeping the American people scared.

Fear...it's a great thing to control the masses with.

7. So many rationalizations for more intrusion into our personal lives in one video!
OBL revenge, 'soft' targets are easier to hit, they could kill more people, "It's better to be safe than sorry", "We already have millions of eyes and ears", "They already do it in Israel".

The new economy: private security companies posting heavily-armed 'security' types at the doorway of every store, shop, office, arena, factory, and HOME in America. Hey, they're jobs.

Right?

10. bollocks to the craven fear-mongering totalitarianism espoused in this propaganda piece
Nice parting shot at the very end too, suggesting the storm trooper tactics of Israel be put forth as a model.

14. This means that OBL/"terrorists" win.
If as Bush and others said; "they are jealous of our freedoms." I think that jealousy has nothing to do with it. Hell, no one "checks your papers" or searches you (except maybe invading soldiers) in Iraq, Pakistan, Afghanistan..etc..
People can and do go anywhere they want (unimpeded, except by American armed soldiers and their "coalition")in these countries.
It is anger not jealousy that has created terrorists.

Anger because their countries have been destroyed, their families killed, raped, imprisoned by invading imperialists, led by America.

Ironically, most American citizens do not agree with these imperialist wars and the inevitable repression of the people in (mainly) these M.E. countries.
Yet, we are the ones who must be the targets of any (deserved IMO) retaliation. Which seems to just pass the repression (in a different form) to us.

Basically, IMO, we must retake our nation from the MIC and corporate governance (they are safe in their gated communities), and in the case of Foreign Policy, make the Golden Rule the basis of our policy. If that were the case, we wouldn't have a terrorist problem. Violence begets violence. Of course we must defend ourselves not offend everyone else, especially (if you notice) the poor countries who have no voice in the international community. They have almost nothing in the way of defense or deterrence, they can not afford it. So, our MIC and corporate run government see's an easy target to steal from or invade based upon the acts (maybe) of a few.

That is the very best recruiting tool for terrorist organizations. It has been the case throughout the history of the world. ie...during the tenth century(?), England occupied Ireland (until the 20th century), impoverished Ireland (at the time) used guerrilla and terror tactics to disrupt and bring attention to their plight.

Now we spend more on "Defense" (my ass, it is imperialism) than all of the other nations combined, thanks to the influence of the MIC on our government. We must use the weapons so we can buy more. We invade and oppress other nations (usually the impoverished ones, who can not defend themselves), and Viola, terrorists are born....

It is a very sick paradigm that most American citizens abhor and many more would, if they were privy to the facts instead of the propaganda. I wonder, are we pretty much "on schedule" with the MIC plans, including PNAC?

We CAN STOP this if we UNITE. Eventually, there comes a "point of no return", Americans (because the continuing generations have "come of age" knowing only this type of Foreign Policy and propaganda) are nearing this point. Most other nations (secretly) consider us a pariah to be feared. What a terrible legacy we are creating. Yet it enables us to be controlled wholly by the MIC and profiteering corporations......

15. Yep
Yep, the single best thing we can do to fight terrorism, is remove our military presence from muslim countries. Seems simple. I think even osama mentioned something like that. But corporate-run america won't allow it. So we are forced to continue to live in fear, pay higher prices and live above our means. When will this bullcrap end?
