Ed Shultz is on a roll outlining all the accomplishments of the George W Bush administration from the briefings leading up to September 11, 2001, to the dismantling of the CIA task force in charge of tracking down Osama bin Laden and asks why Bush was so miffed at President Barack Obama for not giving him enough credit for nailing bin Laden that he declined the invitation to join the President at the ground zero World Trade Center memorial site. Schultz then interviews Rep. Alan Grayson about the New York News article reporting the Bush snub. (and much much more)

I don't think the fucker was sober for a moment in the eight years he infested the White House.

I howled over that too.

I find it chilling and remarkable to watch Bush and others in his cabinet in speeches from 2001-2003, when the ramp up to bogus war started. From the comfort of five to ten years later, it's clear that they ALL KNOW THEY ARE LYING THROUGH THEIR TEETH about the threat of Saddam. "Don't want the smoking gun to come on the form of a mushroom cloud" is spoken like an adult telling ghost stories to children on a camp out. Not a mind reader, but I can't help speculating about Bush's thinking as he lies; "Holy shit, these dumb fucks will believe anything I say!"

In our moment of national trauma, I have always resented how this crew conflated the entire 9-11 tragedy into attacking Iraq. I think it is only recently that the majority of Americans have come to realize Saddam had fucking nothing to do with 9-11. Bush took the tragedy and used it to rape the USA and the entire world. And on top of that, these monsters still walk free amongst us.

To me it was always, always, always on *'s face. At least on that point I agreed with him. I couldn't believe they were buying it.

I saw this every time Bush opened his mouth.

I was really just beginning to pay attention to politics then, what really got my attention was the entire Bush administration insisting that aluminum tubes Iraq had ordered were for enriching uranium when several 'nucular' :+ experts said there was no way in hell those tubes could be used in centrifuges.

And to think that the country is still paying for those lies.
