4. Sounds like Pittsburgh has a gang violence problem.

Maybe they should start to deal with the causal factors behind the crime wave instead of feel-good measures like gun registration and licensing of law-abiding citizens?

And really, how many AK-47s and M-16s are being used on the streets? The weapons of choice are almost exclusively handguns, not rifles.

Pittsburgh can't control how many weapons come in from outside the city limits, so its futile to even bother trying. "Gun free zones" don't work, never have. Criminals don't give a damn, they'll just pack anyway.

Makes me wonder if they really want to get a handle on their crime problem at all the way they lash out at the symptoms, not the causes?

I would like to see the debate with the NRA rep. Better, why did't Rachel Maddow invite the NRA along on the ride.

In the previous piece, Megan McCain said "Nobody wants crazies or criminals to be able to get guns," but that's EXACTLY what the NRA's policies - backed by radical "conservatives" - allow to happen.

I understand gun violence in cities but I have no problem with hand guns, or guns of any type, up here in N Idaho where we don't have a problem with them.

Guns are not the problem, certain people who have guns and multiple cartridge clips are the problem.
