7. Being stupid should not be a crime
This is injustice in a big, big way. How can anyone justify this? No one should be put in a cage like a dangerous animal for what he put in his/her body or for helping another adult self-medicate.

No more drug war. Please.

15. A former president, former VP, and a SC justice all admit to having smoked weed.
Our sitting president admits to having used weed and harder drugs as a young man.

How then can anyone justify such BS is absolutely right!

24. Exceptions
You have to be a rich white repig to do dope and get away with it.

Oh, and the bonus is you don't have to obey any other laws, either.

30. IMHO, all wars are wars on the poor.
So those who sponser them can become richer and more powerful,
so they can wage more wars on people with little money and
less power.

28. I know how you feel. I am so angry at this injustice
Then I get info from Just Detention which deals with inmate rape and I start foaming at the mouth I'm so angry. Then I think about how to raise this issue in my community.

11. I'm for legalization and letting this guy go, but he did get caught with 2 pounds.

And, he had it laying around when he knew his probation officer was coming by for a visit. Apparently his other convictions were more than simple possession too.

17. LIFE?! Screw that, he deserves DEATH! Toss him in the Chair for this heinous crime!
How dare he run around with some plants in his car! Our just and righteous society should kill him, I say put him in the town square and stone him to death, then drag his corpse through the street by pickup truck!

Dude... do I need it... I'm not going to, it's simply too obvious...

20. selling flowers? This is about POWER!
this is a case about POWER not law. the STATE sets a bar; "you may not grow or hold this one flower." and if you have some to sell to others then we lock you up for LIFE! Really it is about power and control and the ability of the few to impose their will on the many. They maintain dumb as fck stuff like this, to teach you not to go against them EVER! as long as flowers are outlawed we know that the wrong people are in control and maintaining a book of laws that is not about people but about power.

22. Yes I've also noticed these displays of power are everywhere
Similarly, it is like how they can send our kids off to be killed for no good reason, and how we sit and take it. They do all sorts of ridiculous things like this, for no other reason just to show and confirm their power. You are spot on.

Edited on Wed May-11-11 02:10 PM by forty6
I would think this qualifies for immediate action.

Life? Who did this guy kill? I can see a year or maybe two since he had so much pot around.

NO, actually 90 days is too long for this "crime"!

How about a fine?
