At the 1:46 mark, it is explained that---under Obama's proposal---Israel would keep their settlement blocs inside the West Bank. In return, the Israelis would give up six-to-seven PERCENT of what is now in Israel proper. And they're complaining about it!

If the Israelis want to cry us a river over this, fine. But they should be shedding those tears without our fucking tax dollars!

1. Manufactured poutrage... But, increasingly Americans ARE
upset about Israel's policies and government. Those exploiting Israel in this country for their own political gain are becoming increasingly obvious... This is a dangerous game, IMO.

3. Very dangerous
Last week I was talking to and old friend who lives in St Louis. He told me swastikas had recently been spraypainted on the outside of the synagogue he attends.

I'm not a Jew, but, from what I understand, Zionism is merely the belief that there should be a Jewish State in Palestine, which I've no problem with whatsoever. I just think there should be a (contiguous) Palestinian State as well.

20. Nonsense. Zionism just means support for a Jewish state. It says nothing about the borders.
There are plenty of Zionists who oppose the Occupation, for example.

And yes, it's true that there are some ultra-Orthodox Jews who think that Israel shouldn't have been created before the coming of the Messiah; but they are a minority group among even Orthodox Jews, somewhat equivalent to the sort of Christians who recently prophesied the end of the world.

5. I just don't get it....
Why in this country is Israel always right and the PLO is always wrong and eveil....Can Israel ever do wrong according to Congress and FOX News? Obama did not say anything new yesterday about the 1967 borders....that has even been Israel's position.....so why all this hyper speculation about what Obama meant? Metanyahu totally disreepcted the president yesterday telling him in a statement that he "expects" Obama to clarify his position on the 67 borders. Fuck you Netanyahu!

That former ambassador dude acts like, after going to the '67 borders, Israel will still need to defend itself like it's doing today. But wouldn't relations between Israel and Palestine be much better if this does happen? Not once did he acknowledge that.

The John Wayne thing sells very well to the Israelis, but Americans find it off-putting. What does violence beget except more violence? And they're doing it with our money!
