3. Does she know how to do anything but speak to her hardcore base?
I'm sure that everything she says is a coordinated effort to get the base excited. She's not going to run. She's just there to throw meat to the hungry pack.

8. Are we to assume that TAWD passes gas frequently and she likes that?

9. This is certainly one of the more petty attacks on Palin.
It's also one of the most stupid things she's said to date, so petty be damned.

I'm an ex-biker, current sports car enthusiast and lifelong mechanic, and realistically speaking, healthy internal combustion engines since the ban on lead smells the same on two wheels as it does for four. No one with six brain cells left wants to loiter about the exhaust end of any performance vehicle for more than a few seconds, and those remaining six cells will die quickly in a closed area.

Though it's clear (and a bit surprising) that The Lost Alaskan Hope has such a vague understanding of how an engine turns a 14:1 air/fuel mixture into emissions, the fact that this is the most clever thing she could think of to describe the raw impact of so many four stroke engines running in close proximity is stark indeed.

She could have mentioned the exhilaration of thumping high cam horsepower combined with the sound of air rushing past performance air filters from the myriad sea of chrome and color, but no... she seemed to only be impressed by the stench of burnt carbon. Way to go, stupid.

These senseless dry brain farts from someone who sees herself as a leader of nations is at once the real issue at hand and the reason we should all urge her to run in 2012. Hearing her screech her way through the first debate with pre-fabbed bumper sticker slogans would be entertaining at least.

12. Some of us seek the fumes!
That sweet burn of Nitromethane. Not much and not for long, but gearheads understand!

Go away Palin!

15. Good point, and the aroma of exotic fuel mixes at a dragstrip is certainly heady
But I don't think that what Ms Dingbat was alluding to.

I suspect that, just like when she was asked what she reads, she pulled out whatever was flowing through that space between her ears at the time and recalled the acrid scent of exhaust to deflect what should have been an easy question. For Palin, every candid query is a "gotcha" moment if it isn't written out ahead of time.

10. A perfect role model for a nation of idiots
Edited on Tue May-31-11 01:02 PM by JJW
Hey kids go sniff some gas fumes with your boy friend and get pregnant while I run for supreme commander of Wasilla Moose Village.

And now the media can't find her One Nation Bus Tour. Can she read a map? Can't find real America & Un-America? Quick check out the bridge to no-where. Or in the case of Bristol, bride to no-where.

If only we could eliminate the emissions spewing from her trap.

14. I understand some of the organizers and participants
were more than merely "concerned" about her presence at their event. They were, quite frankly, pissed off.

16. I don't blame them
She succeeded in stealing their Rolling Thunder for her own enrichment.
Shameful.

Imagine if Obama or other non-biker donned a helmet and had someone ride him through the run with the press focus on the man instead of the cause.

What next? Will Palin enter the Special Olympics and have someone push her wheelchair through the 100 yard dash?

She really did say that!
I thought it was a joke at first, but those words actually came out of her mouth.
