Fair Use of WSMV TV Nashville news report of TNGA Rep. Julia Hurley (R-Lenior City) allegedly vandalizing a desk on the floor of the Tennessee House of Representatives by carving her intials "JCH" unto the top of the desk writing surface. This news story breaks within days of the arrest of another woman (albeit, not a member of the Tennessee General Assembly) who allegedly admitted to vandalizing the exterior of the Tennessee General Assembly building with spray paints.

2. this made me laugh...
i know its not cool to destroy/deface things... especially something government related that was payed for by all of us ... but..
parts of that report made me giggle.... like the way she said they decided to spend all day investigating the other desks... lmao.

especially loved the suggestion that it was possible this woman got a desk given to her with her own initials already carved in them... lol.

at any rate, this representative sure acts like a nut job... so lets hope it sticks ;)

The news reporter did not say that they had spent "all day looking at the desks", but rather "...looking at all desks on the House floor today...".

5. Ah yes, Julia "Wanna See My Tits?" Hurley (R-Hooter's).
When the TN Flying Monkey Party used our unverifiable voting machines to (s)elect candidates that gave them an insurmountable majority in our legislature, "Tits" Hurley was definitely the dregs at the bottom of the barrel. That's not three day old fish you're smelling ... but it's close.

She campaigned with a photo that showed her in her Hooters outfit (yes, that is her only previous gainful employment) with her aerolas showing above the top of the skimpy shirt.

Flying monkey "family values". Why oh why are they so ... arousing?

6. I can't wait to hear the howling...
I can't wait to hear the howling from the same Reich-wingers and Faux News ball-garglers who screamed about the missing "W's" from the computer keyboards during the Clinton to Bush transition.

8. Speaker Harwell: which was affecting Rep.Hurley --- your claim of "excitement" or sleep deprivation?

TNGA House Speaker Beth Harwell Provides "Spin Control" for GOPer Rep. Hurley Over Vandalism of Desk On House Floor
Conflicting claims here: we should be asking TNGA House Speaker Beth Harwell: which was affecting Rep.Hurley --- your claim of "excitement" or Hurley's own suggested claim of sleep deprivation?:

State Rep. Julia Hurley will pay to fix state capitol desk where she carved initials

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — A freshman Tennessee lawmaker who admits carving her initials into her desk in the state House chamber is going to have to pay to fix it.

House Speaker Beth Harwell said Tuesday that Rep. Julia Hurley's initials will be removed at the fellow Republican lawmaker's expense.

"In the excitement of being a freshman at the end of session, Representative Hurley etched her initials into her desk," said Harwell, a Nashville Republican.

"As with any state property, we will take action to have the desk restored and I'm sure Representative Hurley will be more than happy to compensate the state to make the repairs."

The desk carving was first reported by WSMV-TV. Hurley on Monday confirmed to the Knoxville News Sentinel that she made the etching into the desk during a late-night floor session in May.

"It was like 1 in the morning on the last day of the session," Hurley told the paper. "I wasn't thinking straight."

The news report failed to mention anything about the larger circular marks that appear to be covered up by liquid correction paper...
