Guantanamo Bay continues to wreck lives, despite President Obama's pledge to shut the notorious prison. RT spoke to one former prisoner, Murat Kurnaz, who says the US has not issued even a simple apology for his years of torment.

1. Congress failed to close GITMO...
Not the President! I know that does not mesh with the popular narrative here on DU but it is reality!

And RT is not exactly a reliable news source for anything.

4. yea, that mean congress
"Make no mistake: we will close Guantánamo prison, which has damaged our national-security interests and become a tremendous recruiting tool for Al Qaeda" - President Obama

you guys crack me up ... we had the house/senate/executive and couldn't get real financial reform or even public-option, let alone single-payer ... yet no matter how this president disappoints - you support him ... did the nobel peace prize give you stockholm syndrome?

why is it a republicon never-elected dummy president can get 7 debt limit increases and launch 2 wars off the books - but the constitutional scholar gives us patriot II - extends george the lesser's tax cuts - puts social security on the chopping block - and that mean old congress now pushes us toward national bankruptcy ...

The kool-aid drinkers are clearly not all from the right-wing.

Thank you for the valuable quotes in response to the ridiculous opening post.
