1. Why does everyone have such respect for Tim Russert as a "hell of a reporter"?
He's an idiot and a mainstream, corporate gatekeeper like the rest of those tabloid reporters.

Anyway, Colbert's great.

2. Thanks for posting that -
and is Russert always that much of an ass? I really haven't seen much of him before, but where is his sense of HUMOR?

Maybe he'll be better in part 2, which I'm going to watch now....

3. he seems like he's playing the setup man for Colbert, and he was holding
a Sesame Street doll for laughs... He played it pretty good, I thought.. I've seen worse attempts at trying to be funny.

7. Maybe you're right - I've never really watched him before
but I think maybe he played it a little too straight-faced - he could have cracked a smile or something to let the audience in on the joke, especially if they weren't familiar with Colbert.

8. true, that would have helped people that don't know him
I also see this as being filmed like Colbert was supposed to be taken seriously.. which makes me laugh more!

4. Russert did an excellent job in setting Colbert up and playing it straight. I don't
understand why everybody is so down on him. He played right along and he did it well!
