3. This is more of a public issue than a government one.
People don't give a shit about the environment, and will readily litter without thinking twice. Although, I suppose you could trace that attitude to American government being so capitalistic as to make consumption the highest of virtues. But ultimately, if people had any concept of what consequences such an "insignificant" action (littering) has when millions of others do the same, maybe they would think twice. We need a more educated populace. :(

7. right on!
the effects of 100 million people a day littering a cigarette, plastic bottle on the road, plastic container thrown off a boat that got mucky with mold, and so on - just in the USA does a huge amount of damage over the course of 1 year. Bless you...

Hissyspit

Ve, as earthbound peopole MUST clean it up.. Whatever the cost.. This is wrong, dead wrong... And we must learn all peopole that we have a obligation to us self, and to others to clean up after us, if we are going outside, for a picknick or for a walk in the woods..

I try my best to recycle but I do belive I can do better...

Diclotican

Sorry my bad engelish, not my native language

6. And we wonder why Mother Earth is PISSED OFF?
Maybe she'll evolve a plastic eating bacteria, that has the nasty habit of growing the tails back onto humans.

If we're lucky she'll stop at that.
