A fascinating question and answer! Of course, if they were to be a team, it should be Kucinich on top of the ticket!

:)

Go Dennis! :woohoo:

1. I've heard a lot of folks
who think a Kucinich/Paul ticket would be a great idea-interestingly enough, they were at Unity08, the place that wants a ticket with a Dem and Rep on it.

3. I was thinking more along the lines of RP wins the Rep
primary then has DK as a running mate. I would rather it be the other way around. With DK winning the nod and picking whomever he wishes but it seems like the Dem establishment does not want DK success.

Having them both split off as a third party would be just crazy crazy. Would really shake up the race.

4. If that happened...
I would faint. I would LOVE it if people could really cross party lines to fix this mess we're in.

Sadly though, I don't think it will happen :(

5. They are polar opposites! Raul is a LIBERTARIAN.
I love DK, he's like a modern FDR. Paul is the opposite. He wants to git rid of all social programs. He pretty much want to get rid of the Federal Government.
Them as running mates is a terrible idea.

12. Agree. Paul is awful.
Not only is he a Libertarian in spirit.. meaning no government
spending for needy and under-represented people.. but he is
also associated with white supremacy.

Notice.. whites had no trouble accepting the New Deal. But
when they got their own, they began to show their true racist
colors.

7. The caller obviously knows nothing about Kucinich.
Otherwise he wouldn't suggest Kucinich as running mate for the Christian-extremist white supremacist Ron Paul. I mean, "the US was supposed to be a Christian country"? Heck, I'm not even an American and *I* know that's not in the Constitution! Paul has the stance that it *should* be (he doesn't believe in separation of church and state), but Kucinich is firmly opposed to that.

Still, it's remarkable to see how many YouTube-responses on Paul's and Kucinich' videos are about them running together on one ticket. It really shows all people care about and know about is Iraq (and then there was something with a thing called Constitution). The rest, they know nothing about.

8. I like DK and RP has a lot of good ideas
But RP has 1 or 2 ideas that lose my vote

Like the SS propsal he mentions-
It's just as viable now as it was in the time of FDR
Anyone that thiks SS is an alternative to employment, like the right does, is ignorant.

It exists to help you out should you fall on hard times
It is something that is garunteed to be there should you need it.

The Right's idea of privatizing SS means that the garuntee is gone

15. Paul has a whole lot more troubling ideas
He is against abortion, he's against gay marriage, he voted against giving aid to victims of hurricane Katrina, he has done tons of racist remarks, he thinks everything would be all-right if the state wouldn't help people with *anything* and he has a warped idea of history:

9. RON PAUL IS A BIGOT!!!!
I wouldn't vote for him to wipe my bottom, let alone anything else. He doesn't believe in separation between Church and State, and he's a Republican. Three strikes and you're out!

I like Paul but what he says here reveals only the tip of the iceberg on his attitudes regarding social programs. I defenitely respect him as a conservative (the only one) but he has libertarian views regarding government that resonate in the current Republican zeitgeist.

16. maybe a little more than that...
He doesn't stoop to the common childish behavior of his running mates and his position with regard to privacy, rule of law and separation of powers are not "nothing". It is mainly for those issues that he is ostracized and ridiculed by his party. Don't worry, he won't win.

13. What race?
I like Ron Paul as far as his 'end the war' foreign policy, and parts of his view on the Fed. reserve and the need for monetary reform,. HOWEVER he is a sexist, racist, homophobic, anti-immigrant, CORPORATIST! He talks about ending government corruption by ending government,. but that does nothing to control the corporations, the real bastions of power!

The system works like this (IMHO); the gov. is used to create debt,. (Bush II = best gov. EVER!) the taxes service the debt, while new spending is done by purchasing more debt from PRIVATE banks,. the servicing of the debt is FREE money for the wealthy as taxed away from the people! Of course the FASCISTS are winning,. they have endless supplies of money (stolen taxes to give to the bankers for the "debt"), and they use it! to build things like Blackwater and a media that does NOTHING to bring the truth out, and probably pay half these fascist trolls on the net! People need to understand this; IT IS THE SYSTEM! Not the party in power,. ron paul and dennis kucinich are only allowed to exist to keep the left and right edges of the spectrum from loosing all hope. Sadly neither one has a change to win the nomination, that is the point of this two party system,. weed out all sane people and let only the controlled sellout corporatist into the 'race'.
