people listen and support him. He's SHARP and stays on message. I SO admire how he handles these snot-nosed "news" reporters' diversion tactics. John must be a GREAT parent. He's apparently had a LOT of assertiveness and control training (on how NOT to let other people control you). Heck, I wish I could take lessons from him on those things. He ROCKS!

He got his message though in spite of the tone of questioning.

Edwards 20 year track record of kicking Corporate butt and standing for WE THE PEOPLE against the Corporate Machine tells it all.

Sorry to say but Obama was Anointed by the Corporate Machine back at the last convention. He is the DLC/BlueDog Corporatist candidate. Just another republican-lite. All Theory and no track record.

Obama is big on HOPE. That's because we have to HOPE he will stop the final phases of the Corporatization of America. WIth Edwards we KNOW that's what he's about.

I'm glad he's staying around, and I hope that the guy on DU who was going to broadcast Edwards considers doing it so people can hear him on the internet - I will gladly advertise him on my cafepress.com/warisprofitable webpage, and I will make 20 or more posts a day on youtube for him. He said he might webcast all of Edwards speeches so people could watch him.

Thanks for the welcome, Julie--been a looong time lurker, and am glad to jump into the pool for Edwards. Sorry about the macho testicle reference: I just recently rewatched that classic scene from Glengarry Glenn Ross when the character played by Alec Baldwin tongue lashes his excuse-making salesmen. If they make their sales goals, they win either a Cadillac, a set of steak knives, or they the get the door. With John Edwards as our nominee, we will not get the steak knives again (or worse).

And the debate was too close for a poll to then matter. The real poll is the election on Tuesday.

when the 4 guest pundit-panel came on afterwards. As soon as they were introduced I thought "no way in hell a single one of them says something good about Edwards" and I was 100% right.

Nice things were said (overall) about Hillary and great things were said about Obama. Edwards? He was dismissed as angry (3 out of 4 of them said America doesn't want a "fighter" or someone who's angry, they want someone who can "bring them together").

One of them also said (paraphrase) that Edwards can't keep coming in second and expect to win the nomination. While that might well be true, it's interesting how no one made the same argument against Hillary. I swear, Edwards could finish in second for the next 5 states (I'm not saying he will) and the media would STILL be talking about how it comes down to Obama and Hillary.

It's just obnoxious.

I knew, without seeing that part, that they would say he was just "ANGRY" and not impassioned because the poor and poor middle class are tired of being screwed over for CEO bonuses! Seriously, I know the panel well from watching them before, I know how generally smarmy and right wing they are outside of Donaldson, but he's not even as strong worded that I've seen as Colmes for cryin out loud! I thought Stephanopolous was generally ok, their goal is to challenge the candidates. He did, and John hit every pitch he threw his way, no whiffs!
