John Edwards knows the damage that Reagan caused to this country, and he's willing to say it!

Don't forget, today is the big money bomb fundraising day - a grassroots effort to raise so much money for JRE, the media will have to pay attention.

Donate here:

Spread the word about the money bomb!

2. I thank Edwards for saying this

and calling Old Reagan-Lite on his bullshit and what bullshit it is.

I bet some of those endorsements Obama got must be wondering, "oh shit"

7. Unfortunately Obama didn't say that it was a change for the worse...
Instead he talked about Reagan's "optimism" and "clarity" ~ which sounded very positive.

8. That's what made his Reagan reference so unacceptable.
So horribly unacceptable.

And then there was the dissing of the 60's and 70's, two of my favorite decades.

Including in his book where he made the same point.

11. I can't even begin to state how much it hurts to hear a "dem" praise Raygun!
As one of those that Raygun was out to disappear, it hurts me and scares me to know that a "dem" who wants to be president is touting the actions of that despicable man!

Bill Clinton killed goddess only knows how many welfare mothers and children with his horrendous welfare deform, and now one can only guess what Obama wants to do to the rest of us.

Can gassing us be far behind?

Actually, just outright killing us would be better than letting us suffer and suffer *then* die.

13. I'm sorry to say they will find ways to continue to use us if it serves their interest.
Suffocating and bleeding are probably more likely for now.

19. One of the things I decided for the New Year is to work on NOT BEING USED!
In my position at the bottom of the ladder, that ain't easy, but the more times I can avoid being used, the better I feel about myself.

"Suffocating and bleeding are probably more likely for now."

Yup, the Dems are happy with my suffering, so it will continue until I'm able to stop breathing.

12. FDR in the 1930's is the ideal ...
He pulled this country together when we were in total economic collapse.
With his 'New deal' he put America back to work building our infrastructure,
pulled us out of the Great depression and made us proud for all we accomplished
thanks to his leadership-- To me he was the greatest president..

Obama did say he would have Republicans in his administration?
How in the world will that change anything?

Sadly, they want Edwards to disappear ...It's sickening!
John Edwards is not buy-able but he IS viable!
If Edwards gets his message out --
we'd see a landslide victory, in November!

If Edwards is the next President of the United States.
He will take on out of control Corporations,
as did FDR.

"It is time for the president of the United States to ask Americans
to be Patriotic about something other than war" John Edwards

14. John Edwards' clarity
is what this country needs. I'm sure some candidates evoked Reagan to convince republicans to switch parties and vote for them...but I am afraid this strategy has backfired. Edwards better win this election.

15. How shameless and dishonest.
Edwards knows Obama wasn't praising Reagan's policies.
I expect some people to have a knee-jerk reaction to Obama's statement without thinking about what he was actually saying. I didn't expect Edwards to encourage and exploit that kind of simple minded reaction. What happened to the old Edwards that used to run positive campaigns?

18. Maybe Edwards has read Obama's book?
Pages 156-157

"The conservative revolution Reagan helped usher in gained traction because Reagan's central insight--that the liberal welfare state had grown complacent and overly bureaucratic, with Democratic policy makers more obsessed with slicing the economic pie than with growing he pie--contained a good deal of truth."

He makes the argument the DLC made about the size, role of government. When people talk of expanding the pie rather than slicing it they are using smokescreens for talking about cutting back on social programs.

23. John Edwards gains more support from disgruntled Republicans
because he has a clear message about reforming this country. Reagan was a really BAD influence on this country and intelligent people will not forget it.
