the only sad part is that we will be unable to actually see him burn in hell for the sadness and lies that he has put upon the people of the world---

he is one of the wealthy-media... those who speak, and do not have to stand their ground later

O'Reilly is fired from his job, loses his investments due to the poor economy, and suddenly finds himself on the streets. He begs for a place by the fire in a burning barrel--and looks into the eyes of a man wearing a torn and faded combat uniform.

Even one of the homeless vets said "I agree with some of what he says...." or to that effect.

and I can do with it what I like. :) But seriously, even the most popular shows sooner or later lose their audience. Let's just hope with The Factor it is sooner.

Yes, his response to John Edwards sparked all of this, but the vets are issue # 1. It's sad that it takes an ignorant remark by a conservative talk show host to spark governmental action, but I'm guessing it will.

With that said, yes, this speaks to O'Reilly's lack of credibility. In fact, it speaks to the lack of credibility for Fox News in general, and once again shows that their "Fair And Balanced" tag-line is laughable.

After all, I believe it was O'Reilly's irrational hatred of Edwards (and his inability/refusal to believe/concede that former troops would be homeless with Bush in power) that led him to make such a stupid statement. Even more embarrassing for him, he REALLY stressed his point.

Donate to your candidate, feed the poor, call up a representative. Do something...

They are speaking the truth about the homeless situation here in LA.

WORK to get the National Housing Trust Fund bill passed.

WORK in your own commmunity to get adequate, safe and LOTS of low-income (not "affordable!) housing for EVERYONE!

Start pressuring groups like Habitat For Humanity to create housing for people who are TOO POOR to qualify for Habitat!

Most important.... Talk with and LISTEN to homeless people... don't just listen to the "experts"! We who are without homes KNOW what we need, but we aren't HEARD! The "experts" often don't know what they hell they're talking about!

It's well known where this vermin lives. I ask - how hard would it be to have a few buses from fairly local communities to haul a hundred or so homeless vets to his street?
I'd volunteer to chip in a hundred bucks for the expenses incurred. I'm not volunteering to take on the logistics of such, but would contribute the aforementioned amount if someone else would take the lead. Can you IMAGINE the media impact such an "in-your-face" manuver would generate?
