5. Yes to John Edwards
He's the only one with the guts to tell it like it is about corporate America.

6. Reagan asked us to pick ourselves up from our bootstrapes.
But those who don't have boots can't do that. John Edwards does not turn away from the poor, but invites them to the table. This is more what I call compassion. Thanks John. It makes me so proud to support a man who cares about everyone and not just the rich. The rich are not the only ones who deserves help.

10. Edwards repeats main points of stump speech.
Edwards once again shows he can remember his sales pitch and smile at the same time.

I don't think it cancels out the problems he has explaining his record. Seems like he thinks about half his Senate votes were mistakes (Iraq War, Bankruptcy Bill, Yukka Mountain ...)

He seems to think it's enough to admit he was wrong, and then tell us that this is all "deeply personal" to him. To me it sounds like marketing talk, not supported by achievements in the real world.

Since Gore stayed out and Biden dropped out I have not had a candidate. Some days I lean Obama. But every time I watch the candidates debate each other I think Hillary comes across best.

11. Marks, Mississippi
I spent spring break there in the mid-90s fixing up houses - installing bathrooms with running water, repairing screen porches, etc. Changed my life to know the conditions in which some of my fellow Americans live. Not unlike the conditions on some Indian Reservations today.

It was there that I learned that school segregation still exists today - only now whites send their kids to the private "academy", and others use the public schools.

Regardless of what rightwingnuts say about racism being dead in this country - just open your eyes and look around, reality doesn't lie.

MLK day today...let's get to work!

12. Once we get over "the first black, the first woman"....maybe then...
...people can actually consider the candidates differences based on something a little more substantive. John Edwards is not paid for by lobbyists. His ideas seem much more effective and all inclusive.

I like Obama and Hillary and Kucinich, but when it comes to plans for the future, John Edwards leads the pack, in mho.
