7. Hahaa! Great move on the part of the videomaker, actually.
Speeding up the "you are"-"am not" portion, then having the more adult portion played at normal speed says it all. :)

4. That was brilliant on Edwards part.
How much better would it have been also if Dennis Kucinich would have been able to address those two as well.

31. well with all due deference to DK
it would have put Edwards and Dennis in a category of "second tier" and marginalized them both.

Not saying it's right, just that it's fact.

This way, of the three, Edwards is the ONE who was not squabbling. If you want someone as close to DK in populism as possible who polls higeher than McCain or Romney in head-to-head, then you should be GLAD Dennis was not there. Again, nothing against Dennis - in another world I would wish Joe had been there. I suspect he'd have come up with a line or two to REALLY make them look idiotic.

But it is what it is, and Edwards is the guy - THE guy - to rally 'round if there is a chance in hell of one of the other two not getting the nomination.

9. They must've been kicking themselves
Boy they really gave him a perfect platform to dow hat he did. He made excellent use of the situation they created. Well done.

Shame on Clinton and Obama for that performance. Dreadful on both their parts IMO.

12. YOU Capped It! Fantastic & Every time I See something Like This & It's
not the first time Edwards has taken them on, but this was THE MOST effective, it makes me wonder WHY the American people just don't say to D.C. AND everyone in Congress... GYST!!!

And if some don't know what GYST means... it's Get Your Shit Together!!! People, John Edwards is ONE HELL OF A MAN!! I can NEVER abandon him.

I emailed most of my "Democratic & Independent" friends recently asking them to donate to John Edwards. Many of them live here in Florida too! And I don't know if it was just a fluke or just something that happened... not one, NOT ONE of them responded to say they supported either Clinton or Obama. Some didn't respond though, I have to say that. Some were strong Kucinich backers, and one wanted to launch a Kucinich campaign, but to a person it was Kucinich or Edwards. Edwards mostly because Kucinich has been out of the picture so much. However, they also said what most of the Edwards supporters here have been saying... THE MEDIA is driving the campaign and they don't know if Edwards can overcome it!! If that kind of thinking prevails, and those of us who support Edwards decided to switch... then YES, he will never make any more progress. I'm better than that, whether anyone else thinks so or not!

And that tells me everything I need to know. The American people are just being led around all over again. I REFUSE to let them make MY CHOICE! And that is why I will ONLY vote for John Edwards because I'm MAD AS HELL!! IMO, we will get more of the same if we keep letting them do this!!

24. LACK OF COURAGE
I think that's what is keeping people from voting for him. He wins every debate, he is a great guy, he delivers well, but I think people are scared this hillary and obama thing is going to go the way they don't want, so people don't vote courageously with their convictions.

that put John Edwards back in the game ? Any body can manipulate a video to make two people look bad and one look good . I wonder who you are backing .

18. Not
Those two looked bad before any video was manipulated. John Edwards kept talking about the issues and has a real plan for the middle class and lower income people. That's why he looked good, because he was good. Read MLK III's letter to John.

27. I wonder who YOU are backing !

You might feel more comfortable with one of the other two candidates. That is your concern, so go ahead and spill the beans then - who are you backing ? And could you tell me, after watching the above video, exactly why ? How can you feel that Hillary or Obama will be mature enough to lead the Free World azmesa207 ?

30. Did you even watch the debate?
From your post, I think not.

Video manipulation had nothing to do with what happened in real time. The video just put the emphasis on how juvenile Hillary and Barack looked.

Edwards has been my choice since the beginning.

and the "enhancements" were NOT unwarranted. I hope those two keep clawing at each other. Wouldn't it be fantastic if neither of them was ultimately crowned and Edwards got the keys to the oval office??? Think of ALL THOSE CORPORATE IOUs which Hillary and Obama are holding that COULDN'T be collected on!

21. First of all, Edwards was magnificent.
What an absolute home run.

Secondly, DAAAAMN. This is the first footage I've seen of the Hillary/Obama scrum, and even though I know some liberties were taken with the video, it really comes off uglier than I could imagine.

It almost felt like a bitterly divorced couple debating each other. There was that kind of seething animus between them. Neither one appeared mature enough to be President.

34. Thanks for the link
I just used it to donate also!

I am so sick of the media and all of the trivial bullsh*t. Edwards seems to be the only one who actually talks about real solutions to real issues.

The Bush regime has got us into REAL TROUBLE in this world. There is not time to argue about who said what about who.

The media set a trap with trivial crap, and when Obama and Hillary fell for it, they tear them apart.

Edwards stays focused on what really matters.

Thanks again.

33. Yes, John, there are three people in the debate instead of two. But it should have been FOUR people.
Never occurred to mentioned that?

Maybe now he felt what it was like for Kucinich to stand on the stage and not be allowed to speak while 'the big players' were given all the time.

my first thought was "Oh good, Someone has speeded it up so I don't have to spend so much time watching those two and their pathetic display!"

But then I saw the genius of the job that showed the 3rd graders for what they are, and the teacher for what he is.

Good job!

and how they needed to have someone like Edwards point it out to them!!! Love it!!!

my god. Just my god. Is this the best our country can do? Is this what american values are about? We have gone so far down the rabbit hole their is no way we can get back now. I'm just glad we have 1 out of 3 candidates who don't feel the need to pander anymore to our sensationalized media to try and draw attention. one person who doesn't have the boxing ring mentality. Go John get president and give DK secretary of state. Let him turn it into his dept of peace.
