This debate took place October 4, 2003, on Fox TV in Chicago. Both Democrats and Republicans participated. Nancy Skinner is asked if she would have supported the war resolution and does not hesitate saying absolutely not. Obama is up next and clearly states his opposition to the war as well, clearing up questions about the consistency of his Iraq position raised during the presidential election. The debate was sponsored by the NAACP.

Now Nancy has won the first round of voting in the Democracy for America Grassroots All-Star contest and the second round has begun. Please go to http://www.democracyforamerica.com/gras to put in your vote to help her win it all. You can vote once from each e-mail address. Spread the word to all your friends, family and other contacts to help send a true progressive with the courage to stand up for what's right to Congress.

I do not know that much about her but after her reading her accomplishments and now this, she has my vote.

4. Thanks for the video, Sharon.
Voted for Nancy today in the second round!

And I'm glad Obama is in that video, stating his objection to the war even before he was elected to the US Senate.

6. You're welcome, SG
:hi:

Yup. So much for the idea that he's waffled on it.

8. Congress today...
the presidency in 8 years? LOL -- I don't think her aspirations run quite that high, though.
