VFW urges military to back off activists.

“The nation’s largest combat veterans group on Friday urged the military to ‘exercise a little common sense’ and call off its investigation of Iraq war veterans who wore their uniforms during war protests. ‘Trying to hush up and punish fellow Americans for exercising the same democratic right we’re trying to instill in Iraq is not what we’re all about,’ said Gary Kurpius, national commander of the 2.4-million-member Veterans of Foreign Wars.” Good for them.

1. This is the bunch who helped defeat Tammy Duckworth, the Iraq
War veteran, who lost two legs when her helicopter crashed. I seldom agreed with them, but that was the final straw....to back a non-vet over such a deserving candidate. That idiot she ran against said that she wanted to cut and run out of Iraq.

2. I remember; they sure haven't been 'supporting the troops', so this
support is welcome. Someone wised up, though the VFW has already damaged themselves irrevocably with their partisan stunts.
