1. How about a forum for smearing the motives of posters for no good reason?
That would be a good place for this one.

17. If people have the wrong opinion, they probably also have the wrong motives
It's as simple as that.

Dissent, on the other hand, shouldn't be squarshed.

Yes, I'm a nitpicking annoyance.

7. There are other sites devoted to that notion.
Perhaps the admins should teleport the threads to one of those places. Disagreeing with the party is one thing, writing it off is quite another.

20. Just declare "Democrat" a religion, become a Cardinal, and punish heresy.

After all, nobody expects the Democratic Inqusition, right? :eyes:

Bishop Joe Lieberman, Defender of the Faith?
Bishop Ben Nelson, Prefecture of Nebraska?

The DLC Eucharist could be copraphagy.

Sheesh! Talk about emulating the most detestible behavior of authoritarians! :puke:

24. Here's a couple of guys who would be there.
"I never submitted the whole system of my opinions to the creed of any party of men whatever, in religion, in philosophy, in politics, or in anything else, where I was capable of thinking for myself. Such an addiction is the last degradation of a free and moral agent. If I could not go to heaven but with a party, I would not go there at all." --Thomas Jefferson to Francis Hopkinson, 1789.

"Were parties here divided merely by a greediness for office,...to take a part with either would be unworthy of a reasonable or moral man." --Thomas Jefferson to William Branch Giles, 1795.

“Always vote for principle, though you may vote alone, you may cherish the sweetest reflection that your vote is never lost." --John Quincy Adams
