New Beating Allegations Against LAPD Under Investigation
Witnesses Say Small Homeless Woman Was 'Brutalized' By Four Officers

An internal Los Angeles Police Department investigation was under way Wednesday following allegations that four LAPD officers punched and kicked a small homeless woman, dousing her in pepper spray and then carrying her hog-tied to a police car.

Peter White of the Los Angeles Community Action Network, a group that monitors the LAPD, said the occurred around 2 p.m. Sunday in downtown Los Angeles.

He said the officers "brutalized a woman for about 10 minutes near the corner of Sixth and Stanford streets," just a few blocks from LAPD headquarters.

Sgt. James Canales of the Central Station confirmed that an incident occurred that was being investigated, but provided no details.

1. Nothing will ever change with the LAPD
No matter how many beatings and shootings there are.

Brutality is ingrained in the paramilitary organizational culture- and it's likely to get worse as energy prices continue to rise in a city wholly dependent on cars and trucks.

2. Where's the video?
Police departments are now careful about videotaping DUIs and such that there's bound to be a video of this. So where is it? Or do police departments only videotape arrests in order to cover their own asses.

Ofc. Goodguy1: "Hey, let's beat the snot out of this homeless woman!"
Ofc. Goodguy2: "OK!...but be sure to turn off the videocamera before we start!"
Ofc. Goodguy1: "Oh yeah, right! Thanks for reminding me!"
