My Local Paper says Gonzales will Survive No-Confidence Vote
Now you tell me, how do they know? Does the Gannett news organization operate under the auspices of a soothsayer????

Fair & Balanced.

1. I am guessing that they were venturing an opinion. My opinion is that they are correct.

4. Hey come on - that's not how Conspiracy Underground works!
But I agree with your assessment. The resolution is non-binding, President Bush can't afford to cut Gonzalez loose. It's not like it's hard to figure out how this one ends up.

2. How did they define "survive"?
The resolution will not pass, or he will not be retired even if it does?

3. If the resolution does not pass, we should just disband congress and Crown King George.
Hey it's not like they've made any more than a half-assed attempt to stop the war, or anything else of real value.

7. If gonzales has any self-respect ...
... he'll resign after a no-confidence vote. Of course, whether or not he has any self-respect is an open question.

9. I think a lack of self-respect is a requirement to last this long with Bush
He's been around Bush for a good 15 years or so now. How much self-respect can he have?

8. Might be a good thing if Republicans publically place their confidence in Gonzo
I can imagine the campaign ads that could be placed. But then again when have the Democrats ever really used Republican's words and deeds against them? Mkae for some good talking points if Democrats are ever allowed or in the mood to talk.
