Stepha Henry was a graduate of John Jay College?
I just heard this on MSNBC. Isn't she the second John Jay woman to meet a strange end? Wasn't there a young woman (from Boston, as memory serves me) who was a grad student there who met a tragic end just a year or three ago?

1. you're right -- strange coincidence...
Imette St. Guillen. And they both went missing in the course of a night out on the town -- another little coincidence.

Different locales, tho -- the earlier incident happened in New York, not Florida.

3. When I was little kid Judith Elwell disappeared and was never heard from again
she was a kid about my age (http://www.websleuths.com/forums/archive/index.php/t-37567). Years later I went to middle school with Judith's sister, Ruth. Ruth disappeared. Everyone speculated whether or not it was connected Judith's disappearance years earlier. The situation was similar. One minute the child was in the front yard, the next she wasn't. It wore her parents down. It freaked them out. Why was someone targeting their family? What had they done? It also both reminded people of child abductions and scared the hell of them too. My dad was questioned as he waited for us kids because the cops thought it was unusual for a man to be picking up the kids from school. I remember feeling like we were supposed to be afraid. As it turns out Ruth had run away/wandered off on her own.

All I'm saying is that there are coincidences. If these two women had had the same course of study or knew each other or had some other connections it might be worth exploring. Otherwise, it will freak some people out needlessly.
