"The Attorney General enjoys the confidence of the Senate" and it was voted down in the Senate? Does that mean that the Senate has no confidence in the current A.G.?
What everyone seems to be missing is that the no-confidence vote got a majority, just not a large enough vote to overcome a filibuster.
Now an attempt to impeach would have gotten fewer votes and probably would have failed outright.
This vote is significant -- or should be. However, DUers seem to be joining with Republicans as deriding the vote as meaningless and pathetic. It seems as if our Congressional leaders cannot win no matter what they do.
