Poll question: Hey, If we're going to have a Dictatorship, can we at least have a SMART DICTATOR?
Personally, I think we may be too far down the slippery slope toward dictatorship to stop the avalanche, what with have the country being too stupid to figure out from a HUBBLE picture that NO, the earth is NOT 6000 years old and God didn't plant fossils just to fuck with our heads.

But hey, Julius Caesar wasn't a BAD leader, he just made too many enemies and they hadn't invented the Praetorian Guard yet.

So who's YOUR choice? Some of these guys might actually work out well if they didn't have to kiss everyone's ass just to stay in office. Note there are NO Republicans on the list. They've already proved they can't handle the job in my opinion.

2. need a: "I will never, ever, ever support any dictator" option
because that's the only answer I can provide to that question.

3. I don't support one either.
Maybe this should be a "Lounge" thingy. I'm just getting really bored with politics and the decline of western civilization in general and found this thought entertaining.

4. My god, I got 2 votes??
I didn't REALLY want the job; the jacket with the target on it clashes with the rest of my wardrobe.

5. If you hire someone, who will get you in the most trouble?
(1)smart and energetic?
(2)dumb and energetic?
(3)smart and lazy?
(4)dumb and lazy?
If we are required to have a dictator, I think I would prefer dumb and lazy. On the other hand, a smart and energetic Democrat would be nice.

7. Do you think the concept of the "Benevolent Dictator" can be valid?
I think there's a remote possibility, but who does the Benevolent Dictator hand the reins over to? I figure eventually you end up with the USSR, and while I'm a Socialist, I don't think THEY were.

8. I'm not very deep into Roman history, but I think Marcus
Aurelius was in effect a benevolent dictator. He was succeeded by his son Commodus who was a monster. Hiring dictators is a tricky business, but on the other hand, a good one might presumably get some good things done - but it's always what comes next.

9. Yep. What comes next is always the issue.
Without some check on power, the dictator's kid usually gets the job next.

And if we turn it over to the machines, eventually we get "The Matrix."

Maybe we are SUPPOSED to self-destruct? It seems rather evolutionarily correct, so to speak. That way, the next species comes along and fills our niche.

6. If we are going to go this route I like Biden
But I'm not keen on going this route.

Martin Sheen would be a good choice too, come to think of it.

We've had every flavor of MIHOP/LIHOP/DIHOP, Tinfoil hats issued left and right and here I've dealt with something The Pig Bush has actually HINTED AT.

16. No, we don't deserve a smart dictator
Given our recent history and our unwillingness to remove this stain we deserve the stupidest, cruelest, petty, tinhorn, most evil dictator ever to disgrace the face of the earth, if nothing else to set an example to the rest of the world not to go lax and unattentive to what's going on around them.
