Poll question: reading Nation (a great journal, BTW) I was struck by a deep question.
The article discussed the ink being wasted on Paris Hilton, and I saw that they used my fave term, "Bimbette"

My question is, which is the proper description of Paris, and Anne, and Michelle, and Dana (W.H. Ass. Press Sect.) ?

Bimbo
or
Bimbette?

1. Bimbette is a young bimbo
"ette" is diminutive.
Even though Paris H is 26, she acts like a child. Thus, she is just a bimbette. But don't worry. She'll ripen into a bimbo soon.

bimbo was the male equivalent of 'dumb blond'. a reference from the roaring twenties.
Funny how that got turned around.
