FOX News hates Angelina Jolie; Makes me love her more!
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,282173,00.html

Angelina Jolie's true colors came out Wednesday as she promoted a film about freedom of the press and then tried to censor all her interviews.

Jolie is touting press freedom these days, playing the widow of murdered Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl in a new movie called "A Mighty Heart."

But Jolie turns out to be a mighty hypocrite when it comes to her own freedom of the press. Her lawyer required all journalists to sign a contract before talking to her, and Jolie instructed publicists at first to ban FOX News from the red carpet of her premiere.

Her "censorship"? Making reporters sign a contract saying that they will not ask questions about her personal life. Imagine the nerve, she is there to talk about an important movie, the last days of the life of a slain journalist, and she won't discuss how hunky Brad is. Oh, the humanity.

And they get all snarky, too - check this:

Jolie is famous by now for directing press and selling rights to her photos. She has long been in business with People magazine, orchestrating photo shoots of her children. The money, she says, goes to charity. (emphasis mine).

Is that "journalist" trying to suggest that they keep the money and just pretend to give it to charity? Really.

2. I don't think she cares what Faux thinks... She's a big enough star
that she's on the untouchable shelf. Go ahead sling away. They only discredit themselves and everything and everyone they smear.

4. Exactly. Considering the source, she should wear their disdain as a badge of honor.
I know I would.

5. First of all, Fox News is stupid
Second, Angelina Jolie is in a position where she doesn't have to whore herself like most actors do when they are promoting a new film. Yes, she is making her rounds on the talk show circuit to promote her new movie, but she is in a position to dictate her terms. I don't blame her. Fox News should understand this, but who are we kidding?

Of course, Fox News is like the idiots I work with who demand that she adopt American babies first before she goes to Africa. I retort that she is the only vestige of a US Foreign Policy in Africa. Africans know we exist because of her, not this administration.

Finally, it is true, she donates about a 1/3 of her pay from movies to charities, especially the UNCHR.

Maybe, she should run for president.

8. Here's a li'l something!
Wiki has an extensive workup on Angelina:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Angelina_Jolie">Angelina Jolie

Humanitarian Work

"Jolie first became personally aware of worldwide humanitarian crises while filming Tomb Raider in poverty-stricken and widely mined Cambodia. According to Jolie, "I discovered things about what's happening in the world... Cambodia was really eye opening for me."<43> Deeply affected by these experiences, she eventually turned to UNHCR for more information on international trouble spots. In the following months she agreed to visit different refugee camps around the world to learn more about the situation and the conditions in these areas. In February 2001, Jolie went on her first field visit, an 18-day mission to Sierra Leone and Tanzania; she later expressed her shock at what she had witnessed.<44> In the coming months she returned to Cambodia for two weeks and later visited Afghan refugees in Pakistan where she donated $1 million for Afghan refugees in response to an international UNHCR emergency appeal.<45> She insisted on covering all costs related to her missions and shared the same rudimentary working and living conditions as UNHCR field staff on all of her visits.<44> Impressed by her interest and devotion in the subject, UNHCR named her a Goodwill Ambassador on August 27, 2001 at UNHCR headquarters in Geneva, despite her warning that her controversial public image might shed a negative light on the U.N.<46> In a press conference Jolie explained her motives for joining the refugee agency:

'We cannot close ourselves off to information and ignore the fact that millions of people are out there suffering. I honestly want to help. I don't believe I feel differently from other people. I think we all want justice and equality, a chance for a life with meaning. All of us would like to believe that if we were in a bad situation someone would help us.'"

10. Expect more of this.
People refusing to cooperate with Fox. And why should we? Fox is not legitimate. Bill O'Reilly TWICE smeared the veterans of WWII by referring to a massacre of POWs in Belgium as an American atrocity. Twice. But American POWs were assassinated. He had it wrong. And this week we had the outrage of O'Reilly saying, repeatedly, "Who cares if a bomb goes off in Tikrit?" Well, I do. My son, a Marine, is on his third tour. This is the "news" network that slimed both Obama and Hillary by first saying Obama attended Islamic fundamentalist schools (he didn't) and then claiming the story came from Hillary. It didn't.
Decent people should shun Fox. Why engage with a band of liars.
