Citizenship for playing in BFEE war - incredible
They always bury everything evil inside all these bills and the media never mentions it although if you go to a liberal part of the country it might be exposed

http://www.boston.com/news/nation/washington/articles/2007/06/16/immigration_bill_offers_a_military_path_to_us_dream/

A little-noticed provision in the proposed immigration bill would grant instant legal status and ultimately full citizenship to illegal immigrants if they enlist in the US military, an idea the Pentagon and military analysts say would boost the Pentagon's flagging efforts to find and recruit qualified soldiers.

1. "Service Guarantees Citizenship!" Actually, I've been expecting this for a while.
It is reminiscent of how ancient Rome worked.

Off-topic, there seem to be a lot of Roman re-enactors these days: http://members.tripod.com/~S_van_Dorst/legio.html#Romreen

3. And how about that "Guest Worker" program?
I'm sure those guest workers will be encouraged to
enlist...
Anything to avoid a draft.

4. I think they did that under Clinton too.
I have a neighbor that was a legal immigrant from Vietnam in the early 90's and joined the military - was sent to Kosovo for a year and recieved a "fast track" toward citizenship if he wanted it. I believe he became a full citizen in 2000.

5. I think it's a good idea actually
as long as there are alternative paths to citizenship too.

It helps deal with the illegal immigration and military recruitment problems, so I don't see the big deal.
