US flags for American military uniforms were made in Thailand
US Army flagged by Thailand

(Agencies, BangkokPost.com)
Scranton, Pennsylvania

US federal prosecutors say US flags for American military uniforms were made in Thailand but labelled "Made in USA" by the American company with the contract.

The prosecutors have accused the sales manager of an embroidery company of conspiring to falsely claim that the flag patches for the US military uniforms were made in the United States.

Brian Moritz was charged with conspiracy to have a false certification made to the federal government that hid the fact that the patches actually were manufactured in Thailand.

The Buy American Act prohibits the department from purchasing clothing that has not been produced in the United States. The criminal charge alleges the flags were outsourced to Sheen Ray Embroidery Co of Chiang Mai.

2. Yes but in this case it's a crime. Oh well I'm sure they can find him a job in
the regime once he's convicted.

on one of those cheap hand held American flags at a 4th celebration a couple years back.

:puke:

It just is so fucking wrong that we can't even make our own fucking flag. It just is the perfect symbol for everything wrong in America today.

6. Not made in Red China? I guess the Chinese have moved on to
manufacturing more sophisticated, technological products, not wanting to waste Chinese manpower doing menial tasks.

9. I remember when we first had to wear those
and the scandal when the first shipment of them were made in China. They had to postpone the switch over date to find some made in the US.

10. It's the worst piece of headgear, ever.
Seeing as how most of the Army is south of the Mason-Dixon line, what sense does a black WOOL hat with no sun-visor make? I think the CofS of the Army is reconsidering that poorly-made decision.

Presidential Medal of Freedom, I bet.

How much you wanna bet he's a good Republican?

He's 4th generation in this company, joined it as soon as he got out of HS. Dad served with the 101st Airborne in Nam. Grandpa served with the Marines in WWII. This is not going to go over very well with the family's military buddies.........
