I'm here in Washington, D.C. for "Take Back America" . . . My entrance to "Take Back America" was marred when I saw a huge "Politico" sign welcoming convention-goers. . . .

But it is clear to all involved that "Politico" leans right, far right. So why would a Democratic Conference give the Presidential Straw Poll Project to a site that as one prominent blogger has "a direct line to Drudge?"

It's because we still have not as a party and as a people embraced our inner bastard. We need to demand more of the groups we work with and the candidates and elected officials we support.

We need to demand more from our elected officials and our institutions. They may be willing to compromise. I am not.
