back in 2001 - Cheney sat down with a cadre of oil execs and hammered out an energy bill.
When documents of that meeting were requested - The white house claimed it was executive privilege not to release the documents.
Since then, there has been a series of other requests for documents from the VP office. All have been pretty much denied - the deinal has been based on EXECUTIVE PRIVILEGE
Cheney has now decided he is not part of the executive branch, citing that he's president of the senate which implies he's part of the legislative branch, and therefore doesn't have to comply with the archive requests
so which is it? Is the VP position legislative or executive? If he's legislative then he can't hide behind executive privilege. If he's legislative then he's subject to the same rules and code of conduct which governs the senate.
There's a little thing called SEPARATION OF POWERS - he can't be in two branches at the same time.
Roll out the supoenas, get him under oath. then IMPEACH his ass
