That actually happened to a neighbor of ours. She disappeared one night. The husband claimed they went to bed together, and when he woke up, she was gone. The man was all but convicted in the press, by the public, and even by the people who knew him. (I didn't, but many of my neighbors knew them).

Turns out he was right. A co-worker of hers had a crush on her. He showed up late one night, tapped on the glass door until she woke up, then when she turned him down he did what all such evil people do. But for a couple of weeks everyone believed the husband had done it.

Hey, I watch a lot of court tv.

1. A nurse at her OB/GYN office gave her name, address and due date to a human baby trafficker and she was kidnapped and given a C-section under forcible conditions. The baby was sold on the black market for an undisclosed amount of money and she was sent to Aruba where she disappeared after drinking beer on the beach with Joran Van der Sloot.
2. The married boyfriend did it because he didn't want to pay any more child support.
