Who died & made dick cheney the fucking king?

Did bush die and I didn't hear about it? Seems like that would've made the news, what other reason could dick cheney have to announce that he is now the imperial overlord of all humanity? I don't ever remember a vice president claiming that he is above and beyond all American laws, do you?

Of course no other man on earth was hired by daddy bush to pick a VP for jr. only to pick HIMSELF, and we've heard over and over that no other VP has ever wielded this much power.

Did he become king cheney by simply decreeing it in public? Is that how it works? Is it the school yard bully rule: "I am going to kick your ass unless you give me your lunch money o.k'? Did he simply sign some documents to make himself supreme pig? How did this happen ladies and gentlemen?

The only thing that scares me about all this is the fact that everyone is just laying down and taking it up the ass like this is all normal somehow when we should be occupying our white house and removing this fat, obnoxious pig and throwing his pompous ass in jail.

To answer your question, though, I think the only person who appointed Cheney The Dick, the King of America. was Cheney The Dick himself.

Hell, he appointed himself VP. No big step then to him to then go on to appoint himself King of America.

From the beginning, he's taken the stance that he can do whatever the fuck he wanted to, and if someone doesn't like it, they can go Cheney themselves.

As I said in another thread, he must have the Cigarette Man and the shadowy group who meets in secret (besides the folks involved in the energy meetings) solidly behind him, that he could get away with being the most evil, most corrupt, most "Fuck you, America" VP we have ever had.

The day that man is no longer in office is a day I will literally be dancing in the streets. I have absolutely NO RESPECT for Dumbya, but I don't think he'd be nearly as reckless and dangerous as he is, were it not for Cheney being the VP, aka, King of America.

but Bush is obviously coming unglued - every new photo of Bush shows his deterioration!!! DUers go to great lengths to comment about it.

And watching the almost-daily deterioration of Bush is scary as hell, not only because if Bush went into total meltdown, we WOULD be stuck with Cheney as King, but also because even before that happened, Bush could do something even more destructive to this country and to the world than everything he has already done, wrapped up in one bundle.

One very disturbing example. Lobbyists, earmarks and ethics.
When the alleged good guys took over congress, we expected and intended for them to reform the deformed ethics rules. We expected and intended for them to cut the ties to lobbyists. We expected and intended for them to stop with the earmarks bullshit.

In each case, our democrats in office failed us. miserably.

Apply that behavior to the constitution and to unitary exec power, illegal as it may be. How easy and convenient would it be for a Dem president to simply take over the reins because they are right there, right in front of his/her face, and within easy reach?

I suspect that the dem will behave no differently than Bush over time. the fruits of autocratic power are just too sweet.

Who have been our most criminal recent leaders? Nixon, Reagan, Cheney, Chimp. See a pattern?

with nixon and raygun, CONGRESS stood up and stopped the madness. Hell, today, Nixon would be viewed as a socialist, given his domestic policies. (EPA fixing Social security, and more) His foreign policies (SALT, China) would be viewed as madness inside the white house.

The pattern i mentions above - how congress has shirked its responsibility - is solely on the shoulders of the democrats in office. Impeachment off the table?

the president had no brains, so Cheney took over from the beginning. Has anyone else ever read the 1970s children's book by Roald Dahl, "Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator" (sequel to "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory")? In that book, there is an American president who is an absolute idiot and still needs his nanny to look after him. The nanny had got him elected as president, and is now his Vice-President, controlling everything he does. Cheney seems to be a far more sinister version of the nanny in that book! He is the puppet-master, pulling Bush's strings, while Bush in turn pulled Tony's strings and hopes to pull Gordon's.

The only stands I think Bush has taken that were his are the religious right crap.

Was Cheney part of Rove's plan? Get a religious freak-recovering alcoholic-dependent-wimp guy with a name and family money, run his for president and install a psychopath who wants power to be the ruthless behind the scenes guy who will actually do the work while we steal all the money.

other than being a heartbeat away from being president and being silent while presdiding over the Senate or breaking a tie vote.. The GOP led congress' allowed this to happen, and taking power back, is far more difficult than granting it.
