the executive might feel emboldened by having such concrete evidence of judicial support in the event of constitutional crisis.

but none of this was actually real to me until today.

take that back, it was real in a surrealistic way. i would never have thought they'd go THAT far.

i hope an election in '08 can ameliorate this. that is, if we have an election.

6. The only way an election is going to fix this is if we elect people with the

gonads to stand up and do the right thing, damn the risk to their political careers, damn the finger pointing from the other side, and damn the resistance from the right wing radio personalities.

Until then, we get screwed with no condom.

If we had a Congress that was interested even remotely in doing the right thing, they'd be waving the impeachment flags all over the place right now. Fight fire with fire.
