DUers with personal experiences in the types of programs (even the redacted ones)
Edited on Fri Jun-29-07 12:54 PM by bobthedrummer
described in the release of the so-called CIA "family jewels" by General Hayden check in here.

Regardless of in what capacity, or involvement.

It's way past-time for transparency and an end to the lies.

I can truthfully state that I have had experiences with being part of a group that was targeted by illegal domestic programs (operational in 1969) that included murders-and yet every attempt to bring the assassin (who bragged of being "protected by the government") to justice resulted in failure and often negative blowback.

Like a lot of other people, I have some experiences with those illegal programs. I'd simply like to bring a murderer to justice, and publicize the various agencies and organizations that failed to do so for the past 38 years as well as those that generated negative blowback.

Plus there are those privatized programs of today to acknowledge.

So who else is here that has some experience, in any capacity, with those historic or current programs?

1.  A dear friend was recruited by Air America
not the radio company, but the CIA Air America. He was to be a mechanic fixing their airplanes (a parent had super high security clearance and so the CIA knew about him and his mechanic's training). He thought about it until he found out he would be taking small arms/combat training, and he said NO WAY.

2. I did some fringe work on a DIA project...
Since I wasn't cleared, it's not clear to me if the program was limited enough to remain legal or not, but the data volumes specified were amazing.

3. I saw the phone company put cameras on telephone poles once..
It was the spring of 1990 in N Long Beach CA. I told everyone and they thought I was crazy. Then I forced some guy I knew who put in security systems for a living to climb up one of the poles and check. He did and sure enough he found a camera. He was in shock. It was never in the newspaper or anything. I always still to this day wonder where the monitors rooms are. They must be underground. This experience is why I post so many surveillence threads. I figure if they were doing this all the way back then the country must be covered by now. The phone companys, especially AT&T are not to be trusted. It was AT&T who put the cameras up in Long Beach. I wonder about them now with the Blackberry and the Iphone. I think users of those are getting monitored for sure.
